The idea is right but the unit was very flimsy and poor quality, a thin layer of melamine over MDF. Instructions were poor and had bits left over which we never found out what they were meant to do. I wouldn't like to put too much weight on it. We returned the product and ended up paying for the carriage because we contacted Amazon before the supplier!

First of all, the “instructions “ were faded and blurry photocopies which didn’t even relate to the bookshelf we purchased. A shelf part was missing and then we tried to contact the seller by the phone number provided we left a message. No response. Then I tried texting the seller. Eventually we contacted the seller via Amazon. When we assembled our shelving using nothing but our previous experience of self-assembly units, one of the shelves was banana-shaped, there were not enough screws, there were no end caps so we are left with large dark holes on our white shelves, and the wall mountings were very troublesome.
