Not worth it
This mower can cut grass pretty well but despite all the prep work to setup the border wires and to make sure everything is setup correctly; it still gets stuck on certain parts of my lawn and would just spin its wheels futilely until it runs out of battery. And other times, when it doesn't get itself stuck, it would return back to the base station; after only doing a few spots on my lawn. And that is after I had already precut my lawn according to the book instructions as part of the preparation work. Not sure if it is because of bad programming, wheels that are too small, weak battery, or a combination of all three; it just doesn't get the job done right.

Works well on a small, flat and smooth lawn.
I think you have to give some kudos to Robomower for making a robotic mower at this price point. But this mower is pretty limited in what it can mow. The blade is only about 6 inches wide. So it only cuts a very tiny amount of grass with each pass. For this reason, the instructions say for a 200 square meters (yard) of lawn, it needs to run 9 hours a week. Since it is very quiet, running 9 hours a week shouldn't be an issue, but you do need to have your lawn set up so that it will run unassisted, and that isn't trivial. First off, it will only work on a small, smooth, flat and open lawn. 200 square meters or yards, is the recommended max. Then it really needs to be smooth. It only has two wheels. If the lawn is uneven, or has holes or ruts that a wheel will drop into, it will have trouble. It says it will mow up to a 5 degree angle. I am doubtful. I have some very slight angles on the sides of my lawn, and if it goes too far down, it can't get back out. You should really have a truly florida like flat lawn. And the wire guide that you have to install around the perimeter of your lawn works well with the mower. You do have to observe the distances specified from edges religiously, and if anything, go a bit further. The bumper works okay against vertical surfaces, but it needs to be a vertical thing that it bumps into, and at least 4 inches (instructions say 6 inches) tall. There are a number of places around my lawn with a 2 inch edge sticking out into the lawn, and this doesn't work. If it runs up over an edge like that, it will end up spinning its wheels, boring wholes into your lawn. If your yard has trees, flower beds etc., I suggest running the wire around as much as possible, rather than depending on the bumper. If you have the right yard, and you take the time to really set it up right, this mower can give you a lot of time off.

Seemed like a good idea
Seemed like a good idea. After a few hours of trying to set it up... The thing only would work outside the perimeter wire. Called their support. No one answered (45 minutes in their automated system). Even though I called during business hours. Called several times. Emailed several times. Over a week later got an email from support saying something like "sorry, we've been busy, what's up?".By that time, I had already initiated return to amazon.Filed under "seemed like a good idea at the time"

Great Mower Good Price
I waited until the end of the season so I could give an informed review. I have a very small yard that needs cutting every other day. It was irritating. I bought this mower fully expecting to return it. But I was pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent mower and fairly easy to set up. It does an excellent job of mowing and has plenty of power. Now and the the guide wire will break or the mower will run just past the the wire. So far all issues have been easy to resolve. This yard was not pool table flat, and the mower handles it with ease.I'm updating after the beginning of this second mowing season. Living near the southern border of Tennessee, our winters are not extreme, so rather than sheltering the mower as recommended by the book, I left it in place, and let it mow a few times. When our mowing season really started I found that the guide wire had broken so the mower would not start. Finding the broken spot in the wire was surprisingly easy (see YouTube hints). When the wire was repaired the mower resumed working and has done well this year. I just learned when the mower appears to be stuck spinning its wheels, my shoe on the wheel stopping its turning gets the mower to try a different direction.

Works fine after start button is pressed manually.
Works well, but this model cannot be controlled remotely. You will always have to press the the mowers start button to get it going.

Horrible performance.
I already had a Robomow for years and it was amazing. It was an older model and it still performs flawlessly to this day even after 7 years. I purchased this model for the small backyard that we have. It does a terrible job, always leaving large patches uncut and gets stuck constantly. It will cut some of my tiny lawn then it goes back to the base. The performance of this model is completely sub par and it’s a purchase that I regret immensely. If you want to purchase a robonow please consider looking for a better model because in my opinion the performance of this unit is very disappointing and they should discontinue it.And

5 starts for entertainment value, 2 for actual performance
My neighbor has one of these. It's hilarious to watch while sitting at my kitchen table at 7am- he stands in the sideyard and chainsmokes while he watches it. It does a terrible job cutting and appears to get stuck.

Good little mower
We have a small flat area that is mowed well by this Robomow RX12. Silent running performance. We like it and it finishes the lawn with an even carpet soft appearance.
