Orvibo New Allone Pro, Wifi Smart Home Hub Box Intelligent Controller, IR RF All in One Automation Home Remote Control Compatible for Smartphone and dose not allow IR learning functionality

Received the product yesterday and already have it controlling my motorized blinds with Alexa. Eventually I hope to use it to start up and shut down my whole theater system(blinds, projector, receiver/amp, screen, etc). Time will tell if it will meet that goal. One challenge I am facing is that I can get Alexa to recognize devices set up in the app the hardware uses (homemate) but I cannot get Alexa to recognize scenes (a combination or grouping of actions on devices) that have been created in homemate. That seems to be critical in my ability to accomplish my goal of just being able to say “Alexa, turn on the theater” and have all the devices turned on with the one command. It is obvious that the command can be successfully delivered to the system by the homemate app with a created scene that combines all the commands, but it would be so much cleaner if I could just have Alexa complete the multi-tasking with one verbal command. Others have complained that they hardware loses connection frequently and has to be re configured. Time will tell if that is a problem for me. After a day, no problems yet. I am not using any of the orvibo sockets or lights in my applications, which appears to be what most are complaining about. One thing that was annoying was the need to sequence the scene commands at least a second after each other in the homemate app. For example, if I want all my blinds to go up and down at the same time, I cannot create a scene to do that. The commands for each blind has to be separated by at least a second..so the blinds go up and down staggered. A solution to this that I figured out is to link the remote frequency of the allone to all of the blinds in one room at the same time...that way they all have the one device name and the same remote frequency...so they all go up and down at the same time using just one device name. So, after a day and some non intuitive solution applications, we are making progress. Also, to have to say, “Alexa, turn on blinds” or “Alexa, turn off blinds” is not intuitive language....I wish I could say, “Alexa, open blinds”. I do have the timer functions set for the blinds to open and close automatically based on sunshine. The homemate app can create scenes, and Alexa has a function to recognize scenes from third party apps, but for some reason, Alexa does not acknowledge the homemate scenes I have created. I am trying to get the distributor/manufacturer to clarify how to get Alexa to recognize homemate scenes....if there is a solution for that challenge, then this product will meet all my wildest dreams. Well on my way to a totally automated and voice commanded theater system. I give this product 5 stars for at least its potential at such a low cost.Update - continues to work like a charm. No issues.

If i could give this a negative i would..completly useless..i bought thinking i could use it for both ir and rf and it wont control a simple sound bar from Samsung Nor will it control a very common cable box only 3 choices of rf and one is a clotheshorse (really!!). Sending this back ASAP..

I ordered this product but unfortunately it wasn't yet compatible with my RF devices. Nonetheless, I was very impressed with the interface and ease of use. It's a very intuitive and I really like the physical look of it. I wish half my devices were so good. When I spoke to the customer service with questions they were very responsive and - despite being based out of China - were incredibly helpful and understanding. This product didn't work for my specific needs but I'm watching them and they have now found a loyal future customer!

Completely useless product and misleading advertise from the vendor/manufacturer. Bought it specifically to control some shades as it supposedly worked with >95% of devices. It turns it only support a very limited list of brands as their own technical support confirmed when contacted. Why not simply list the brands of shades supported and avoid trouble? Perhaps on purpose to get more buyers without worrying about customer satisfaction... this manufactures should not be allowed on sites like Amazon.

Useless. I struggle to find some of the appliances in my house. I was able to get the TV to work but I got this for the air condition and out of 80 different preset settings, not a single one worked. Even though the air condition brand was listed. Maybe it's just my bad luck, but this was a very overpriced Gizmo that didn't do anything

It did not control my projector screen. Would not recommend this product. Should have returned it when I had the chance.

THIS JUST HAS A LIST OF A COUPLE OF DEVICES TO CONTROL, BUT WONT CONTROL ANY OF THE RF AND IR DEVICES I BOUGHT IT FOR.

I was assuming that the unit can learn codes from remotes as is was done in a previous version. I was wrong. On top of it,the number of predefined codes for variety of devices is rather limited. I was successful in programming only two remotes (out of five I use to operate my system).
