haven't used this yet as it is a present for my girl but information given is incorrect as this does need batteries,,,,but that's not a problem as I know my girl will love it xxx

Very bright lights. Unfortunately my younger daughter got a hold of it and pulled battery section to pieces. But is still good as a pillow
