Comfortable & Practical Recovery
After surgery or injury, the MIDOG Inflatable Dog Cone Collar offers a great alternative to traditional hard plastic cones. This soft, cushioned recovery collar provides comfort while still effectively preventing your pet from licking or biting at their wounds. It’s easy to adjust and fits a variety of dog sizes. The design is lightweight and less intrusive than standard cones, helping your pet move around more freely. Plus, it’s washable, ensuring it stays clean throughout recovery.Pros:1. Comfortable Inflatable Design: Soft, cozy alternative to hard plastic cones.2. Adjustable Size: Fits a wide range of dogs, from small to large.3. Easy to Clean: Washable fabric cover makes maintenance a breeze.4. Lightweight: Doesn’t weigh your pet down or restrict movement.5. Improved Mobility: Unlike hard cones, this doesn’t block vision or movement as much.Cons:1. May Deflate: If the collar gets punctured, it may lose its inflation, reducing effectiveness.2. Limited Use for Larger Pets: The smaller size may not offer as much protection for very large dogs.3. Needs Frequent Adjustments: May shift or move if your pet is particularly active. The MIDOG Inflatable Dog Cone Collar is a solid choice for pet recovery, offering a comfortable, effective solution to keep your pet from irritating their injury while providing a better experience than traditional collars. It’s a well-rounded option, balancing comfort with practicality.

Very sturdy and soft donut-cone
Spayed our Rottweiler and this was the best way to keep her from licking the incision. Unlike a plastic cone, she didn’t mind it at all. Surgery suits work okay but this is better. Only drawback is that it can’t be worn in her kennel, but we expected that. She is enjoying sleeping on our bed!😆

One tiny detail would make a lot of difference
When my dog was neutered he came home with a standard satellite sized cone I switched out immediately for this and it worked great however there was one little detail that would have made a huge difference. Once you put the cone over the dogs head you can tighten it up with a strap and Velcro. If that Velcro were a wide piece it would make things so much easier. If you did not get the strap lined up just right with the Velcro I found that a lot of the strap would hang down and my dog would want to grab it and pull and ended up and fastening the collar several times. I ended up making the strap shorter so he would not be able to grab it but if it had been a wider strip of Velcro that fastened down that would’ve solved the problem. My dog seemed very comfortable in this and slept easily. It was great as well it didn’t bang around on things and we didn’t have any issues at all. For the right situations I would highly recommend this in place of a cone. There would be times when it would not work for example right now my dog is recovering from having a couple of stitches in his chin so he can’t wear it because he can rub his chin on things but in most cases this would work in place of a cone and I definitely recommended. I even wish the vets office would recommend these or offer these instead of the traditional plastic cones.

Sturdy, well designed, reasonably priced
Great alternative to the e-collars. She can eat and drink with it on, has peripheral vision. It's sturdy, very well made and stands up to her attempts to remove it.Well-designed product!

NOT Escape Artist-Proof
I recommend cutting the velcro strap before you put on the doughnut. My genius three year old Great Pyrenees (85lbs) has gotten this thing off five times in the two weeks he’s had it on. The velcro strap is too long, so he moves the doughnut around his head until the strap is at the front of his feet, then stomps on the strap until he gets it off. We ended up cutting the strap and he still manages to get it off because it’s not short enough. That said, it looks much more comfortable than the cone provided by his vet, and his mobility is much better with the doughnut. It was definitely worth buying, but we had to keep a close eye on him.

Much more comfortable for the dog than a cone
It may not keep your dog from licking/chewing every inch of their body, but this is a good option to have around. It's the best I've found so far. Easy to put on, and you can adjust the inflation level. Higher inflation will keep your dog's mouth away from more areas; less inflation might be a little more comfortable. (My dog uses it like a travel pillow.)

BAD SIZING - POOR DESIGN
Quality is great and seems like a good product but the design/sizing makes no sense. When fully inflated, the opening is much too small for my dog, while simultaneously the donut itsel is so large they cant really walk or hop up a few inches into their dog bed. Its both too large and yet too tight. The velcro that is meant to hold the slit part closed is designed to just barely close the gap and you srent given enough slack to tighten it. The collar that the donut attaches too had to be made as large as it can go, in order to fit - and yet the opening of the donut is too small. None of it makes sense. This was seemingly designed for a dog with a 2in neck and 14" legs?Additionally, the weight is disproportionate so the donut does not stay where you put it. The opening falls to the bottom where the strap is impossible to tighten enough, so the dogs legs keep getting caught in it as they try to walk or jump up into bed. At one point we had to remove it because the dogs legs got stuck and the collar ended up sliding down so she was being choked. This may work for larger dogs but the SM size makes zero sense for the pet. Its like they just changed the inner diameter of the design and left everything else the same. Its too heavy for a weak post-op small dog to even comfortably walk with. And when inflated fully its way too large for them to do anything at all, and creates a breathing hazard when lying down on it.
