Made in USA & Seller made sure I got good results with product...
Get the one made in Okeechobee, FL called Electric Saver 1200! The guy is really helpful. He helped me save on my Central A/C unit. I have heard some good and some bad results from others so I wasn't sure about the product. I called him up and he explained how to get good results and the secret is the way you install it. Most don't tell you how to do it like this. Glenn at ElectricSaver1200.com made sure I got results. I am now saving on average about 22% on my total power bill and I am very happy. Thank you for your help Glenn.

KVARs don't work for residential houses but....
If you search the internet, you will find that these KVAR units are capacitors that will improve the power factor if you have inductive loads (e.g. motors for AC, pumps, etc). However your utility company does not charge you a penalty for a poor power factor. Only commercial/industrial sites will be charged for poor power factors and these units are typically installed in those units. When I contacted the company with these facts, they agreed with me. "You should not purchase this unit to improve your power factor and you will not see any savings based on power factor improvement." Surprised by the admission, I asked them how this unit could possibly save money on a residential unit. They indicated that the savings could only be realized if you install the unit at the motor/load and only if the motor/load is at least 20 feet from your electrical panel. You never want to install this unit at your electrical panel since there are no savings there.A capacitor in parallel with an inductive load will supply any instanteous demand by the motor and not require current to travel over the > 20 foot resistive distance to the panel. The savings is the heat dissipated over the 20 feet from the panel to the motor for the instant demand of the motor. Some savings, but not the dramatic savings being claimed. Most people are not told this and they install at their panel with no savings being realized. I have no objective data myself on these claims but in theory there may be some savings.

IT'S A SCAM
I ordered 2. Thought about for awhile. Emailed the company and said, "It better do what you say it will do". The response was something to the affect of, "Not to worry, we're sending them to you at no charge". Put one upstairs and 1 down. After 6 months, I compared my electric bills from the previous year. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE! Don't waste your money.
