I have better things to do
There really isn't much to review on a mousepad, yet I'm doing this... I have better things to do. No, I really don't.Packaging was annoying as hell, considering it was that theft-resistant plastic crap. Otherwise, Roccat did a nice job for rolling the pad inwards (lays flat on your desk), and making a pad that's very slick, but doesn't slide around under your hand too much when pressure is applied. Very slick under my Kova+. The only problem I've noticed is the mouse seems to jump a bit with finer movements, which didn't happen on my Logitech G240 mat. The problem does seem to go away when I adjust the DPI, so it could be my hand and/or the mouse, and not the mousepad.Pleased overall. The only drawback is the theft theft-resistant packaging.

Fantastic Mouse Pad
This is my second Roccat Taito Mousepad. After purchasing one for my home desktop and trying it out, I immediately ordered one to use with my laptop (which is used just like a desktop/workstation that is rarely removed from its docking station on my desk). I am using my Logitech M705 wireless laser mouse with this mousepad. I tried using the mouse directly on my oak desktop but the left/right tracking was not good due to the wood grain/pattern. The surface of this pad is excellent. It is very smooth, the mouse glides effortlessly along the top; the mouse picks up every little movement. The pad really seems to stay in place on my desk, I do not have any issues with it moving around while using my mouse. I would, however, choose the thinner 3mm over the 5mm. I have the 3mm for my desktop and I do like the thinner pad, but it isn't enough to take away a star (really more of a personal preference). For those who are wondering if this mousepad is large enough for their needs, I would suggest cutting a piece of paper to the same dimensions (10.4 x 8.3 inches)and placing that on your work area. I find that this size is plenty big for my needs (I imagine that because the tracking is so good on this, that you won't use nearly the amount of space you may normally use without it). I have the Roccat Taito mid-size 3mm for my desktop and it is huge. I do some gaming on my desktop and I still don't come close to using the amount of space that one provides. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my mousepad.

Pricey but nice
$15 is a lot of money for a mousepad if you ask me. However, I had just spent a whole lot more than that on a mew PC, so I figured, "why not?"I must say, I'm quite pleased with the product. The surface is nice; nothing too special, as the might lead you to believe.. (what was it? 'Heat-tempered nano-weave' or something? It's just mousepad material.)However, the main plus for me is the size. This may be listed as mid-sized, but it is BIG. Assuming you have room for it, this mousepad will set your mouse free. I am in love with the giant open vista that is my new mouse area. All in all, a very nice mousepad with great build quality. But I'm sure you can get something nearly as good for less than $15.

Excellent Mousepad
I am using my (slightly older) Logitech wireless laser mouse on this mousepad. I do like the thinner 3mm over the 5mm. I have a 5mm version for that I use with my laptop and I do like the thinner pad better than the thicker one (really more of a personal preference though I am sure). For those who are wondering if this mousepad is large enough for their needs, I would suggest cutting a piece of paper to the same dimensions (15.7x12.6 inches)and placing that on your work area. This pad is massive, much bigger than what I actually need--I would be very surprised if I used more than a third of the actual pad (I imagine that because the tracking is so good on this, that you won't use nearly the amount of space you may normally use without it). I do some gaming on my desktop and I still don't come close to using the amount of space that this pad provides. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my mousepad and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. In fact I actually bought the smaller version of this pad the very next day after opening this one.

the best mouse pad available
This was my fourth pair of gaming/pro mouse pads to try out and they are simply the best available. The SteelSeries QcK Mini Gaming Mouse Pad (Black) has cleaner/smoother edges - the top edges on these Taito models are actually a little sharp (e.g. rope burned with a lighter sharp) but will probably wear soft quickly - but SteelSeries currently packages their pads in a tight coil, producing wrinkles. Also, the two long sides are not cut *absolutely perfectly straight*, probably an artifact of slight stretching while die cutting, which I only noticed, as a perfectionist, when lining up on a t-square. Neither the initially rough top edges nor the tiny variance in cutting shape are worthy of them losing a star, and I simply cannot find anything better, so these really are the way to go.The packaging comes with a postage-stamp size sample of both the front and back surfaces of the mouse pad which you can feel through little windows before opening the package. The package itself is the hard/clear plastic we all hate to cut open, but they provide perforations on the back for easy access; that said, once open it's not returnable as new. ROCCAT is unusual in that they actually leave space for the mouse pad to remain only loosely rolled, so there's no real wrinkles - bravo here!FYI, my pair host an ambidextrous SteelSeries Sensei Laser Gaming Mouse (Grey) and the performance is the best combination I've ever experienced.

Very good
Used it nonstop/fulltime for 2-3 months along with a Zowie FK2 gaming mouse and a Zowie Camade mouse bungee. The textile top didn't start to disintegrate at the edges like in case of cheap/noname mousepads.I started playing Overwatch (Blizzard's first person shooter) so ordered a few different mouse pads (different brands and sizes) including this one.The other brands include Steelseries (which is also good but different) and some other noname pads that aren't worth mentioning because of their obvious quality issues. The main differences between my Roccat Taito and Steelseries mausepads:- My Taito pad is 3mm thick (but there is a 5mm variant) while the Steelseries is about 2mm that makes the Taito a little bit softer and I like that. In case of a large mousepad the height doesn't really matter (usually your whole hand and wrist is on top of the mosuepad and not on the edge like with smaller pads) but it can affect the softness of the pad.- The surface of the Taito pad is more like smooth synthetic textile that makes it more slippery and feel less like rough textile and I personally prefer that over the Steelseries surface which has provides more textile-like feeling and more resistance. If your hand is in contact with the mouse pad (because of your grip style) then a softer more slippery pad (like the Taito) might be a better choice for you.

Long lasting but shows wear
This product is very impressive. I have a very large desk area and smaller mousepads would either catch on my write or my mouse would slip off the edges. With with 'pad I have no trouble at all. It's a nice smooth surface and is very comfortable on the wrists. As this product has lasted me well over a year it's starting to show signs of wear but as it get useds at least 5 hours a day that's incredible. If you don't pull at the edges or pick at it (I have a bad habit of picking away at things) then I expect this product would look as if it's just come off the shelf. Why didn't I give it 5 stars? It's amazing but this product really should have a seamed or braided edge to it. I'd have happily paid more for this and it would certainly have stopped any of the wear and tear that the edges are showing. If Roccat were to ever update this product they should really add a seam to the edge. That would make it perfect! (And much higher quality)

AMAZING!
This mat is amazing. I was expecting a normal size mouse mat but oh no way, this is an a3 size MASSIVE mat. Its so big i need to put part of my laptop on it. This isn't a bad thing though, it gives you more room to move your mouse on its beautiful surface. My Logitech M215 glides on it like a dream. I am also currently bidding on the Roccat Kova which will work even better ten my Logitech mouse. It has a nice Roccat logo and name in the bottom right corner, to show off you have this amazing mat. It has a rubber grip underneath and doesn't slide around like those old plastic type material mouse mats. It also can be rolled up, like when its delivered its all rolled up in the nicely decorated Roccat packaging, so it doesn't bend and stay bent. 5/5 for this gaming surface. I love it. I would recommend this to everyone who doesn't have one at the moment.

the more room to move your mouse on the better! It does the job it's meant to do
I'm a big fan of Roccat products, having used the Kave headset in the past, and am currently using the Isku keyboard and Kova+ mouse along with this mouse mat. It's thin, so the mouse glides across it effortlessly. The surface is really smooth and durable too. The bottom surface is rubbery and stays in place most of the time. I've been in intense situations in games where it has moved and when I get a free moment I've needed to re-adjust the position of the mat.. but that's no problem! If you're used to standard issue mouse mats that come with PCs or graphics cards, then you're in for a shock as this will be much bigger than you may have thought. But in my experience, the more room to move your mouse on the better! It does the job it's meant to do, so therefore would recommend!

Don't spend more , buy this , FPS gamers dream
Excellent product , just as good as my qck mat , love the 5mm mat cushions my heavy lift offs well.Perfect tracking , a little texture to the surface which is reassuring if you like that sort of thing , which I do.Tracks much better than my aging razer hard mouse mat .As overpriced mouse mats go this is the best of the cheapest . You'd honestly be paying for a name if you bought anything else. Both me and CS:GO love this mat combined with my Logitech mouse , I think I've found a sweet spot . ..
