It works great. The front brake cable is slightly short
My mountain bike handle bars made my wrists hurt, so I ordered this one. It works great. The front brake cable is slightly short, but it worked. I switched the gear shifters and brake handles for a better reach. The whole change took about 2 hours, but I had no previous bike maintenance know how and adjustments took a while. Also, it took about half an hour to get the hex screws loosened.

Some approximate measurements
I really like these, they give me excellent posture. I know others have stated length measurements but I had to search various posts to get a clear idea so I thought I'd write them all down here. The distance from the end of the handlebar tips is just over 22.5". The grip length before any 'significant' curve is about 8". The center of the bar length before any 'significant curve is about 5.25". The height when the bars are upside down resting on the flat of the grips, to the top of the center, is about 3.75". These are all approximate.

A must for comfort bicycle conversion
I am converting an old Specialized Mountain Hard Rock Hybrid to a comfort bike. You know, changing bent over staring at the ground to sit up and enjoy the view. To do this, I need to replace the horrid straight handle bar with this one ( I suspect the only benefit to straight bars is that they allow the manufacturer to pack more bikes into one shipping container). This handlebar does the trick. It elevates and moves rearward the hand position and lets the hands return to a normal grasp while redirecting the weight of the body from the hands and wrist to the seat where it belongs. This handlebar, made by SUNLITE, appears to be good quality and is very light. Aluminum may bend but it doesn't rust and comfort bike folk aren't particularly hard on their bikes. Neglectful but rarely hard. I ordered this for my wife and it passed her test. I am ordering another for me as I too am tired of my wrists and hands hurting and seeing little but the ground around my front wheel. You guys may need the (bicycle) fork extender as well but the ladies will probably be OK with just this handlebar. I am having fun tricking out our bikes as it doesn't cost a fortune. New ones would be cheaper but the history we have with these old bikes makes them priceless to us and thus more than worth the cost of fixing them up.

Perfect fit
Converting my old mountain bike to a city comfort bike. These bars are sweet! They are lightweight. They are not curved in an arc like cruiser bars, but rather swept back in a somewhat V pattern, and kind of remind me of buckhorn bars on a Sportster. I matched these bars up to a KALIN Cruiser threaded stem and now I can ride upright comfortably.

Excellent Product for the Price!
I purchased this handlebar to replace the stock handlebar on a 24" mountain bike. The stock handlebar was straight causing the rider to hunch over and this was not comfortable. This handlebar was priced right and looked to be just what was needed. I am very pleased! Now, the rider can sit up straighter due to the curving inward of the handles like what you would find on a cruiser bike. The change in handlebar positioning did cause the brake cable to be too short but this was easily remedied by my handy husband after purchasing new longer cables. The 21" width of this product is also just the perfect size for a smaller 24" bike (in comparison to a 26" bike). In my opinion, if you are looking to replace your existing handlebars, these are a great choice!

Sit upright and relieve spinal nerve pressure
Great bars! Perfect fit! No cutting required! I have a crossover bike. I have spinal damage and had surgery and could no longer tolerate leaning forward and putting pressure on the nerves in my arms/writs/hands. I had given up biking after 40 years. My spouse had the great idea of switching out the bars and allowing me to sit more upright. These bars did just that and now I am able to bike again. I did not have to change the style of bike I ride. These bars have been a game changer!

Classic style handlebar that's comfortable to ride
I used these to replace the sweeping cruiser style bars my bike came with. The originals were just too wide for my frame & caused me to feel I was lacking in control.I'm in love with the new ones! They are very old school, reminds me of the bars I had on my ol' Schwinn as a kid, which is great because my grown up bike (Manhattan Cruisers Aero 6 women's) was inspired by that first one.Intallation was super easy after watching a couple online videos.

Just what I needed!
I've ridden a retro style 7 speed hybrid for the last several years and bought it from a discount department store because it accommodated an upright seating position. Well, now I've joined a couple of bike riding groups and ride with people who have lightweight bikes with more gears, and though I could keep up with them it was work. I've wanted to purchase one of those fancier bikes but I want to sit up straight!!! Well... I had the bike tech put these handlebars on my new "fancier" bike and I get to sit up straight. I had to purchase another seat as well, but now I get to have my cake and eat it too! """The bike tech had to replace the brake cables with longer cable because with these handlebars that are much closer to the seat, the original cables were not long enough. That was an additional expense, but It was worth it!
