Buckfast Tonic Wine 75cl Bottle

I’m not normally a fan of wine or the vinegar biterness you normally get with a red, it’s for someone with a very sweet tooth, I loved it! And a great caffeine kick, perfect if you’re doing something at home and think do I have wine or do I need a coffee! Loved it !

Years ago as a Naval Officer I was privileged to spend the day with the monks at Buckfast Abbey as part of my training course from Britannia Naval college. I also met and spoke to Father Adam as he cared for his bees.I also had a great roast lunch which included a couple of bottles of tonic wine.I’ve longed to retry it but never had the time until now.It’s never lost it beautiful taste and texture and its every bit as good as I remember.Recommended.

One of the most elegant bottles of wine you'll drink in your lifetime. Regardless of the vintage the second you uncap a bottle your nostrils will be subdued by the most aromatic fragrances from around the planet. The second your lips touch this majestic wine you'll realise that the monks brewing this are some of the most majestic mythical beings around. You'd be a fool not tae buy it!

Pretty cheap (for online shopping 2022 £7.99), well packed. Not a lot more to say.

I watched a documentary about Scottish drinking culture and the dark sides of it. Obviously I purchased this to try after seeing how obliterated they were.It was interesting, almost like a bad port that has a side effect of getting trashed.

To be able to purchase such a fine el vino as no shop in my area are ludicrous in the head this made me blackout and feel rough which it does as says in the tin 👌🏼 Thank You for the carnage’s or destruction

Not particularly to my taste as it is on the sweet side. Never tried before and I probably won't again as I like Sanatogen more.
