Excellent Product
This compound helps to promote electricity through the tracks of a model railroad. It also cleans and fights corrosion on the tracks. It is very useful for N, HO and Z scales model railroads. It also can be used on larger scale model railroads. Trains run smoother after this is used.

Sooo many uses!
Pacer sells Rail-Zip as a track cleaner and corrosion inhibitor. I've been using it for over 20 years to help restore electrical conductivity between rail joints. Most recently, I add a drop between the rails of Kato Unitrack when I having power drop outs. I then dab it up with a paper towel and rub it along the rails to clean them. If you're having electrical issues with Unitrack, give this a try.

Great for gaining electrical contact on Schuco Disneyland monorails!
I have been using this product on Schuco Disneyland monorail brass track for over 22 years. I put a very small amount on all the contact points on the monorail, and then run it on the track at full speed. I have found this method useful in gaining good electrical contact between the train and the track. Rail Zip also keeps the brass from tarnishing as quickly, again. When I first receive the track, which is now over 50 years old, I have to spend at least 15 minutes cleaning just one piece. I do NOT use Rail Zip to clean the track. I use a yellow Perfect track cleaner/eraser. However, the Rail Zip, when applied as mentioned above after cleaning, keeps me from having to do the time consuming "detarnishing" of the track again, even after 22 years of usage at dozens of train shows where I display the monorails operating. Of course, I also use Rail Zip on my permanent layout at home with the same great results. I also use it on my vintage Aurora race track, but find its best usage on the Schuco Disneyland monorails.

Less Is More
The media could not be loaded. I maintain three, elevated, G scale model train lines on 2 sets which run 7 hrs/day, 7 days/wk in a farm market. Humidity, dust from refrigeration compressor units and the general hustle and bustle of a farm market I use 3M type A, very fine, finishing sponge to scrub my rails clean and then a quick wipe with the Rail-Zip 2 on a fresh, clean piece of sponge. The locomotives and cars pick up the light layer on their wheels and spread it down my rails for me. The next day when I scrub them clean, the dirt comes off very easily and I finish with another light wipe of a few drops of Rail-Zip 2.
