Great Pump!
I installed this pump to get the remainder of the water out of my bilge (my main pump is big so it leaves some water behind after the float switch has settled). Boy does this thing do the trick! I have it mounted in the lowest possible position in the bilge but every now and then there won't be enough water to prime it but when there is this little pump sucks until the bilge is bone dry!

“+ & -“
I bought this pump to make a DIY portable shower unit. (Like the “Big Kahuna” shower) This pump does the job. I didn’t know there was a constant duty model until I had already purchased this one. This pump is good for about 15-20 minutes of constant use. I would have given this pump a better rating had Rule labeled the wires + & -. I searched their website and found nothing. I wired the pump both ways and found although it pumped pretty much the same either way, when I hooked the brown to the positive+ and the blue to the negative-, the pump primed instantly and supplied good pressure. Wired the other way took several attempts to get it primed. This may be why people reported poor performance or had the pump fail prematurely. I ended up making my own hand held shower nozzle.(RV shower nozzle didn’t work.) FYI, I am using a 6’ long hose at 3/8” ID. Provides good pressure with 6’ of head.

pump works very well using for portable shower
if you have even gotten a zodi or other brand portable shower you know that the pressure is not very good. this pump is cheaper then those kits and you can get a shower head to fit it easy. Look at beach toys and you will find the cheap plastic thing you are looking for or build it out of pvc and an end cap with some holes. Update 2017 Pump has lasted 7 years and counting

I used this with a small motorcycle battery to pull water from a creek for hunting camp. Used it for my hunting camp shower. worked great. I have even ran it non stop for 3 hours lowering pool after it was over filled by the rain.

Not worth even this price
This pump is garbage. It worked for about a month of intermittent use (15 minutes on, 45 off) before the seal failed and water got into the motor. I took it apart (this requires cutting the housing)and found that the "seal" consists of a rubber grommet around the motor shaft that spins against the inner housing. The motor itself is a standard 25mm brushed DC Motor. I'm positive that water was inside the motor from day one, with only the enamel insulation on the magnet wire protecting it from water. What finally killed it was that the brushes disintegrated into a paste that covered the whole inside of the motor, preventing it from turning. I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did.

GREAT PRODUCT
My husband really loves this. He did't think that the water pressure would be strong. But it was! He is really pleased. In fact we are going to buy a second one for a back up, if or when this one goes out. Very good product.

Rule il200
Pump works good. It's compact, quiet, and moves alot of water fast. The only negative appears to be it will not self prime. It has to be already submerged before it will move water, or, you have to manually prime it.

but perfect for slipping into our underground water tank
Not very powerful, but perfect for slipping into our underground water tank, without removing the filter, for pump water into water butts.
