Are these real wood tables, press wood or veneer? thanks

this will be MY 2ND SET & from what-all i can tell they're " REAL WOOD " & THEY ARE GREAT as a table for to sit infront of the tv & eat on OR A laptop pc & OR desktop pc even & a printer on another .., thats how i'm using my 1st set .., the 2nd set isnt here as of now BUT SOON ! i highly recommend these tables for just abt. whatever u want to use'em as or for..

Is there a clip that holds the table open?

There is another wooden bar that holds the legs together, and it rest against the bar I previously mentioned. The table is very stable and sturdy. I have 2 sets and have never had a problem

what are the demensions?

The table is 26 inches tall, 14 inches deep and 19 inches wide. The four tables stack nicely in the rack which comes with them. They are excellent quality, and we use them both inside and out.

Has anyone tried staining these, or do they look as if they would accept a wood stain?

You could use chalk paint, which will cover anything. You don't have to do the "Shabby Chic" distressed looked with chalked paint either. However, if you want a wood stain, you would have to strip first.
