Will the 24mm band fit a citizen Blue Angel with a 23mm lug?

This band is available in 22mm or 24mm lug fitting. You need to buy 23mm band for your watch.

What length is unisex? need 8 1/2 inch black band to fit bell&ross 24mm lugs.

Unisex means, it is good for ladies and gents watches. The length of this band is 8 inch which is good for approximately 6 1/4 to 8 inch wrist.

What is the purpose of the gooves on the arm side of the watch, they hurt?

My guess is that they are there to prevent the watch from rotating around the wrist. They do not hurt. I am not even aware that they are there. I have been very happy with this watch band.
