What i expect
I always buy Stabila because i know what I'm getting, and that's quality. This one is no exception. It's new, but so far it's great.

Well built, wish they included a few more features.
Accurate and a nice size. I love that it is designed to lock and transfer/scribe angles onto your work pieces. Works great for custom work. I built a lot of ladders these days and it's a great way to transfer the angles to mount the treads.Weaknesses: Its competitor has a much nicer case, is significantly cheaper, and will give you the miter calculation at the press of a button. Maybe some other trades want the angle cut in 1/2 but I never need that. I want to know what angle to set my miter saw to. I really dislike having to do the math since I know it leads to mistakes when tired. (a 92 degree angle will give you 1/2 at 46 on the readout but the angle you cut at the saw is actually 44).

Good product. Expensive. Perhaps other angle tools are more suitable.
At first it wouldn’t zero out when fully closed which was annoying as Stabila are renounced for accuracy. It seemed to know this and corrected itself after about 10 times open and close. It’s an expensive tool that’s hard to see the full value until utilized for repeated angle finding.

Buy from a local dealer or stabila direct.
It came broken. The display wouldn’t show any readings. Called stabila and they are very nice and helpful. Sent it to them the same day I got it to be fixed within 48 hours.
