Black Jenn Air Radiant Cartridge JEA8120ADB

I bought this Jenn-Air stove cartridge to replace one broken on my stove top. It fit perfectly and matched with the other cartridge that was still in place. The removal of the old broken cartridge was easy, and placing the new one into place was easy as well. The product was shipped well, wrapped bubble wrap, and surrounded by foam on either end and the middle. I am very pleased with this purchase. Also, don't be alarmed when you see "Whirlpool" on the outside of the box-- I think Jenn-Air was purchased by Whirlpool.

I was so happy to find this when something fell on and shattered our existing cartridge. I was worried we wouldn’t be able to find a new one because ours was several years old but it arrived today and it looks great. Whew!

I have bought 6 of these. 2 were bought many years ago for a stove in our old home where they were used for years before we moved and left them behind. 2 were bought well over a year ago and have been in constant use in our new home since a kitchen remodel. I bought 2 more for my mother in law about 2 months ago. These have also been in constant use. They all work well (heat quickly and glow to show they are hot) and look great. I've read a couple of the negative reviews below and completely disagree with them. They are glass tops, so they should be kept clean. Yes, if you drop things on them, they will chip and break - duh. Yes, if you don't pay attention and think you are ordering white tops instead of black ones and you then get the black ones you will be unhappy. Yes, if you just slide heavy pots around on them and the pots have a rough bottom or slide over grit, over time, the glass will get marked up. My wife does not particularly take any great care during her cooking on the stove tops and cooks every day and then some. Our tops still look like new. We also swap them out for the grill and other accessories like deep fat fryers so the cook tops get jostled about some. But 95% of the time the cooktops are in place and being used. If you treat these as the (retail price) $300 plus items they are instead of a $15 coil on an older stove, they will last a very long time.

I have an older home that has a Jenn Air stove. Having owned a Jenn Air gas stove in the past I loved it, however my new home has the electric stove. I hated using my stove due to the older cartridges that were with the unit. They did not function properly and made it just a pain to cook. I love to cook and again the old cartridges were a total pain. So with hesitation I purchased this cartridge and hoped for the best, I was shocked by how happy I am with this unit. Now I enjoy cooking again. One of the big problems with my older cartridges is a metal lip that runs around the edge of the cartridge which made large pots impossible to use, and it was a pain to keep clean as grease and debris were constantly in the lip I had to use a toothbrush at times to clean it so again it was just a huge pain. The older ones did not work well with my Le Creuset cookware. This cartridge has no lip and all of my very large pots fit perfectly. Keep in mind this is RADIENT heat so it does heat a bit slower and gets cooler slower as well but over all not a very noticeable difference. The cartridges are a breeze to keep clean and look great. Eventually I will be remodeling my entire kitchen but since I found these cartridges I can wait on replacing my stove.

Our house had a jennair when we moved in, and it costs an arm and a let to have one removed, before you ever try to replace it! So, I spent a year with two burners and two useless grill spots (didn't get hot enough to actually grill anything), before I realized I could to this! The old 2 burner section that was there when we moved in had a metal rim around it that kept the pans from setting right on the element if it was a larger size, with meant I couldn't even boil water properly in my big pot. So frustrating. This one? No rim. FANTASTIC! And, if you get the flat top stove cleaner? Cleans super easy. I'm forever boiling stuff over. I loved this, and if I was ever stuck with a jennair again, I would absolutely buy this again. 2 of them!

My cooktop is set into a kitchen island and people naturally gather in the kitchen. My old coil burners worked but were pretty unsightly. I wanted to replace them for a long time and am so glad I bought these - they instantly upgraded the look of the whole kitchen. I wasn't sure if they would fit, but I measured the opening and compared the plug configuration to that of the current insert - perfect fit. They work wonderfully. A few things to get used to: when on a higher heat the burner cycles off and on (this is normal and doesn't affect cooking) and there is no indicator to let you know while the burner is still hot after it's been turned off. I did keep my old coil burner in storage to use if I ever want to cook with my heavy stoneware pot (not recommend for this glass cooktop as it could get scratched), otherwise any regular, flat-bottomed works fine. Absolutely pleased with this purchase.
