Most of the items were cleaned in about 48 hrs. It worked better than I anticipated when I started-had a dishpan full of tools that had rusted after being left out in the yard for 2 years-I really thought all was lost, but I was able to salvage 80%. The worst damage was to the adjustable wrenches and pliers.

Works as intended.
Had a 500 piece socket set that a co worker left in the bed of a truck and got totally rusted. Able to soak these tools over night in this solution, and nearly all the rust came right off. I would 100% buy this again if needed.

You need a lot of it.
I tried the vinegar and baking soda method on my very rusty grill grates. Then I tried dawn dish soap. No luck. I bought this and it worked better but the instructions say that if the solution turns black to discard and not re-use. It turned black. and my grates were not completely rust free. So, it works but you may need to buy a lot of it.

SUPERB PRODUCT
This product was used to remove a serious rust problem on a 1958 Ford tractor carburetor. It worked beyond all expectations, saving hundreds of dollars on potentially expensive and timing consuming locating and purchasing of a replacement carb. The carburetor has been rebuilt and runs flawlessly.

WD-40 Rust Remover Soak
This product removes rust on tools and power tool blades and hand saws. Also Hand tools. All you need is a container to soak them in. Most products are rust preventives, but this is for already rusted tools. Nothing can restore the metal that is rusty, but this will rid the rust.
