Revlon ColorSilk Luminista Hair Color, 120 Golden Brown, 1 Count

Even though this line is mostly marketed toward people with naturally dark colored hair wishing to go lighter, it works great if your hair is light and you're going darker too. I've been dying my hair since I was 14. I'm naturally a medium-dark blonde, and I've dyed my hair many colors with many products, though i've most consistently gone lighter blonde often with streaks of blues, pinks, reds, etc. Anyway, about a year ago, I decided that I wanted a change and keeping up with roots with lighter blonde was getting to be a huge pain especially since i'm 24 and already getting gray tones. I began dying my hair deep reds and i'm absolutely in love with being a red-head now. I've most often used Revlon dyes for my natural colors (not the blues and pinks). However, I couldn't find a shade of red in Revlon that I liked at the stores around where I live. So, I tried a few brands with caution because i have very sensitive skin and also mild psoriasis, but I had some horrible reactions to the other brands. My mom (who does my hair) mentioned that it was probably because Revlon is Ammonia free and the other brands were not. So knowing that my reaction to Revlon has always been very minimal, just an itchy spot where I get a psoriasis flair up on my neck, I took to the web to see if i could find a pretty shade of red in Revlon. I found this and figured why not, even though this is for darker hair. I dyed it over a deep red shade of Garnier that had faded significantly and It looks gorgeous! The conditioner smells amazing and does a great job, like Revlon always does!

Okay so this is several times I've purchased this and I can definitely say that I'm very happy with this hair color. It is my favorite hair color and the same one that I keep returning to even if I try other hair color products. Leave my hair in great condition very soft and manageable and like I said the color comes out really good. So much so that I get compliments and I even get asked what the box number is lol. Will definitely repurchase as long as they keep it in stock. My only other complaint is it is a bit more expensive than if I had purchased it in store, but it's getting harder and harder to find it on the shelves. Other than that love this hair color.

Love the color, love the smell of freshly dyed hair the day after 😅. However, Never have I ever had a hair dye trigger my dandruff. I had my dandruff in control until I used this hair dye. Flakes EVERYWHERE! it’s embarrassing because the color is so vibrant closer to the top of my head you can definitely see all them flakes 😩 it got out of control after using this product.

It was great. It !ightened my dark brown hair to light honey blonde. It is now discontinued like every other hair color that is "high lift" without bleach. Damn you, Revlon. No, "Golden Blonde" is not the same. Too dark. I bought all I could find though, so too bad, colorists that want to "bleach and tone" for $150. Never again. Smelled good too.

Blondes go red. I am using this for touching up roots and when the tint fades. I just wanted to get a coloring that would be as close as I could get to a natural red and make me feel like I am sassy. When I first tried coloring before salon colorings I used the temporary but this is fine. I think mango butter in it is a good idea so there is added moisturizing. When you feel like there is a tingling there is but it doesn't sting and as the color sets the tingling goes away. Nothing wrong with it. Good product I would kind of like the lettering in the pamphlet to be larger but all of them boxes of hair coloring are like that so it is fine. I haven't had a problem. I just want to make sure I can get as close to a natural redhead as possible. Can't help enjoy this brand, and I would recommend. I got some compliments and that is a good thing. To get my old brand I think would not compete with this one, there is a big difference with my old brand it never was a permanent color. If you love to have red hair this will make you happy and proud. :) Just fun. Pretty.
