If I could give this jacket ten stars, I would! I am so very pleased with my purchase. First, it arrived fast (two days from purchase). Second, the size was perfect for my dog (we got the xxl for a 50 pound pit mix). Third, it appears well made...no stray threads, stitched very nicely with no gaps or defects. My dog loves it! He appears very comfortable. We live in Wisconsin and winters here are harsh, snowy and cold, so we have tried a variety of different jackets to protect our dog from the elements. Fourth, it is very easy to put on and take off. It is also reversible so it can protect against the elements. The design is great. The belly area is designed in such a way that boy's can go potty without pee'ing on the fabric. Would definitely recommend this jacket, and will definitely be buying another one in the future!

I got this in XXL due to Irina Davey's review for my 18-year-old beagle, Bart. She didn't have a beagle, but the size of her dog in the picture she shared seemed so similar to mine and her review was so very helpful I got it! I have gotten a few jackets in the past and he had another one he did use, but it just wasn't thick enough (to me) for the freezing weather and his failing health. The one he did use was a little on the verge of too loose with the velcro at the neckline and better for fall weather. I found others coats, but they always ended up too small, even after I measured them!Anyway, so IT FIT! I was so very, very happy I could make him more comfortable. He seemed to enjoy the fresh air in spite of his health and the bitter cold, so he definitely wanted outside. I sometimes put the lighter weight fall coat I had on over this one for even extra warmth on the extra cold days we had and when we went outside for his winter constitutions before his health finally did get the better of him on the 19th. I have no regrets. I felt so much better with this jacket. SO MUCH BETTER! It was thicker, warmer, and the Velcro areas had more versatility, more adjustability, and even his belly was covered. He seemed warmer, didn't shiver, which always made me whisk him right up and bring him inside, ruining his moment.She did make mention in her review of the folds covering over too much of his privates and it did! BUT, as I'd hoped, I just folded the flaps over and duct-taped the area with some black gorilla tape I had handy and it held and worked perfectly. I know. I know. I could try and sew it, but there is that nagging sewing learning curve, the lack of time and then what fun would life be without finding more uses for duct tape? I really miss my little guy, but this coat was awesome for him in his final days. Thank you, Irina!P.S. The pictures of this coat are mixed with a couple pictures I have found so far with Bart's older, thinner fall coat on. I believe that one is a Zack & Zoey coat that he got in a medium (a bit ill-fitting a bit in the neckline, holding just at the end of the velcro) More velcro might have helped. That one isn't thick, but it is good for fall and layering. It's not for winter, though! I mention this all again mainly for sizing frame of reference and because it's good to know any extra things when you're looking for coats!

I purchased this coat for our golden doodle and would certainly recommend it for anyone that wants to ensure their dog is warm when they play outside. I would give this five stars, but even though this coat has Velcro to make it adjustable, it was still a little loose around the bottom but nothing that couldn’t be fixed with a few simple stitches from my sewing machine. If you find that the bottom needs to be adjusted so the dog can go to the bathroom without getting material wet (😗) simply fold the fabric over to make a little dart and add a few stitches. Do your dog a favor if you live in colder climates and purchase this coat, he will love you for it and you should be happy knowing he is warm.

It is a good product and fits well. My dog is slim and trim 48 lb. staffordshire terrier. I was surprised that I had to order the XXL, but it fits her almost exactly as shown in the picture. It is quite easy to put on and take off.

Love this jacket and it's easy to slip on and take off. It's well made and keeps our pup warm. My dog is a petite pit mix and weighs 40 lb. I ordered XXL and it fits great. I'll be ordering more colors.

too bad it took 3 tries to get one that fit. i read the reviews and ordered 2 sizes bigger than i thought i should (3XL). the coat came and i could fit 3 of my dog into it. i returned it and bought an XL. that one wouldn't go around her chest and was much too short. i returned that and got the 2XL and it is just right. the 2XL is not "in the middle" of the 2 sizes and seems only sightly larger than the XL. anyway, for reference, my dog is about 57lbs, not stocky for a pitbull. smaller than an average lab. the 2XL wouldn't fit a dog much bigger than her. the jacket is real nice though. the price is good except when i added return shipping twice. hope this helps you get the right size the first time.

My 4 month old weim is 45lbs and I got him XXL. I love this jacket - my weim is a pansy who can’t stand temperature below 45F and refuses to go outside. This coat not only gets my dog outside but also gets him going on a walk. In addition, he is more compliant and calm during the walk and doesn’t pull. I walked him in a muddy weather and all I had to clean is his jacket and his paws. I can’t imagine why I would put black side onto the dog so double side is kind of useless to me.Under the jacket is a harness and I was able to get harness’ loop through the hole - it’s a tight fit but I’m happy I’m able to use harness under. There is lots of room around undercarriage so jacket should last a month or two. He does look like he pees a little onto a jacket when he is being lazy with hiking that leg up or squatting and just stands there and pee.I really love the jacket and that I’m finally able to get my pansy weim outside when it’s cold or rain. I saw photo of someone putting hat on their dog, I might do that to mine :)

Nice coat overall! Easy to put on/take off the dog yet stays put while it's on. My dog has gone running through the woods with it and it's still in great shape. Seems to be fairly well made and it's cute! They do run small - I have the XXL for my 43 lb border collie mix and I do wish it was just a couple of inches longer but the neck/girth fit.
