Be Quiet T380698! 400W System Power 9, Black

My PC's PSU failed (a 7yr old Corsair RM850, silent [no fan] for office use, but had a 10yr warranty). I got an EVGA 750BQ (cheap, but noisy fan even under no load - returned for refund) and bought this item. It's as quiet as the Corsair, and capable to power an i7 6-core + GTX1070Ti when stress testing both simultaneously. PSU fans do then spin up but are masked by the CPU and GPU fans. Summary - buy it - quiet, capable, and cheap.

The recommended PSU rating for my build (according to PC Parts) was 350 watts, which seemed very low to me. I thought I might build in a little extra headroom for future upgrades, so I looked for a 500 watt model, edging towards Corsair. But thanks to the (at the time of writing) pandemic lockdown, it seemed like everyone else had the same idea! This was the only reasonably priced PSU of any sort that I could get, so it wasn't exactly my first choice.Having said that I'm extremely happy with my purchase. It is VERY quiet. I cannot hear it above the noise of my case and CPU fans, and I have had no problems one week into my build.Being a non-modular design, you may be concerned about cable management. I'm not, and I leave all my cables free inside the case, but I don't think you'd have any problems if that's your thing. The cables and connectors all worked as expected and seemed to be quite high quality.So, not what I was initially looking for, but turned out to be a great purchase.

I was looking for something cheaper, around £50 and 500W which I expected would be non-modular. When I could not find anything good at that price due to the current Computer Parts shortages, I just settled for this one back in June (June 30). Well, I am happy I bought this semi-modular power supply. Most reviews said modular and semi-modular are small cosmetic enhancements. If you like me is building a PC inside a compact tower, like the beautiful Fractal Design Meshify C, you will appreciate having fewer cables coming from your power supply.Meshify C like other compact PC Cases has a short Power Supply Shroud. So I only attached the cable for the Graphics Card, CPU, and one SATA Power cable to power two Hard Drives. I can imagine if it was a non-modular power supply with all the messy cables to take care of.Performance-wise, this Power supply is much more than my PC needs in terms of power needs so I have a lot of headroom for upgrades. Fantastic quiet performance.

Well, it all works fine thus far but I will hold off on the full review until I have used my new system for a bit as all the components for the new build will be tied together. Delivery was spot on as it usually is with Amazon. There are rare occasions but as I have said they are rare.Speaking of rare Amazon tracking showed the package on its way then amazon sent a message saying that it would be delayed and it didn't arrive then I would get a refund but then it arrived the next day(strange).It fitted into my case well and thus far no issues (fingers crossed) and it is as quiet as it says on the box.I will update as time goes by and let you all know how it performs.The cost of PC parts is nothing less than extortion but the resellers have us where they want us in these times of lockdown I guess. c'est la vie.Do you know what else would be strange?A bird with three heads and seven wings that could sing soprano.***********UPDATE 12/02/2022*************This is the third one I have purchased (this one from Fuzion) and I must say that Fuzion is amazing with delivery well ahead of schedule and well packaged. You could see that they care about customer service and this shows in the way they despatched the product (well-done guys and girls). The two that I have been working well in other builds but if anything happens then I will update again.

nothing to dislike, was easy to install and connect up with enough connectors, would buy another from this brand definatelypowering a 5600g/16gb 3200 ram/2xSSDs/gtx 970

It has been in my PC for almost a year now, turned on for 5 to 15 hours a day and it still works very well. It's quiet and well built.I do miss the modular cables from the EVGA PSU it replaced as they are easier to work with and make the PC look tighter, but it's not a big issue at this price. This PSU is as good as it gets for that price point.

Great PSU, very quite. One problem was that the 2x4 way 12 volt atx power plug did not have the correct plug profile on one of the plugs. So it goes against the golden rule of only only fitting plugs with the same profile as the socket. After contacting Amazon technical dept a replacement PSU was sent with the same problem. I then checked with voltmeter to make sure that the plugs were wired correctly as all the wires are black, and put the plug in the socket with the half round plug pins in the holes that were square. Problem solved. So anybody who buys this unit can safely insert these plugs into the socket even though the pin designations are wrong on one plug.

At first I thought it was my motherboard but I went ahead and bought an EVGA power supply from my local Best Buy on a whim and my PC instantly turned on and I was able to run my bios. Not sure why this one didn't work. I went ahead and returned it.

Un ottimo alimentatore che, pur non essendo totalmente modulare ma solo in parte, svolge in maniera impeccabile il suo lavoro. E' possibile collegare solo i cavi necessari alla propria build mentre i cavi di alimentazione della scheda madre sono fissi. Molto silenzioso, ha potenza da vendere. L'ho montato su un case Be Quiet con estrema facilità. Ottimo prodotto.
