Probably very useful in many circumstances but comes with tradeoff.
Thought I needed this to transition from the stair rail angle of 38 degrees to a flat section at the top landing. It could make the 38 degree bend but it also added a slight horizontal offset which ever way I tried to combine the different angled sections. In the end I used the "standard" Promenaid 32 degree fixed bend and cut 3 degree angles on the two tubes to make up the difference. This worked perfectly and the end result is a strong and attractive handrail with a smooth-looking transition between the sloped and level sections.

Stair security
It's more money but well worth it. My son installed the railings and was able to go right around the corner on my stairs and keep it at the same level using the corner pieces. Very sturdy and feel very secure going upstairs.

Made of metal so it is extremly strong
A common theme I kept reading is that people couldn't figure out how to configure this. I played with it and I agree that it's a pain but I was able to figure it out where I was able to make it work for me.I was able to adjust this easier once I connected both pieces together and had them attached to the wall. The thing that frustrated me. It's not reversible (or at least I couldn't figure it out) so my second section hand grip is backward. The funny thing, installing the entire hand bar only took me about 30 minutes. I played with universal corner bend in several different configurations for over an hour and finally left the curve part with the hand grip backward. To fix this issue, the universal corner bend connection to the bar should be universal.Overall I love how sturdy and professional the hand bar is at my home.

Looks great but somewhat different to obtain the exact angle.
Great looks and function. Brackets attached well but we had an odd angle rot attachment.

frustrating; not perfect
Although we give the railing kit by Promenaid 5-star, this deserves less: it was frustrating to manipulate, wasn't perfectly in line (always off a bit no matter how you twisted it). We went online to Promenaid and watched their video on how to use it over and over and still could not get it right (and we are masters of construction!)

Very hard to use. Does not work in close turns. Skews the bend even when it does work.
I found that I could not turn a stairwell 90-degree turn. I needed to turn up and left. I hoped two connectors would work. They did not unless I raised the height of the second handrail which I did not want to do.

This bit makes all the difference in a complicated install
I liked the pricing.I loved all the DYI info videos, they were very helpful. The cost was only about 50% more expensive than a very basic wood solution from big box (like HD or RONA). However, the cost is really worth it when it comes to strength and look. Also, I got five quotes to have pro's install a set of handrails, the Promenade system was half of the cost of the lowest bid.Because this winder stair has two different slopes having the flexible couple made connecting the two lengths easy. I am not even sure how I would have done this with a wood solution.I do have 2 complaints with the system as a whole.1. is there are no videos on how to mount the handrail brackets to six mounts to studs with railing. Because the handrail brackets do not slide once set in place it means there is some gymnastics to installing into studded wall. Some tips on how to do this might have saved me 2-3 hours.2. The handrail brackets are prone to wiggling. I have to remove several and resend the captive bits inside the rail. I think set screws would work better than the twitted pressure fitting that is currently required.

Great product, but needs improvement
I bought it along with the handrail. They are easy to install, but this bend is not so smooth to rotate. Also the bend I received doesn't look like a new one.The handrail and bend are durable, modern designed and easy to install.
