FerplastCage for Hamsters and Mice KARAT 100 Small Rodents, Two Floors with Accessories, in Glass and Metal

Extremely happy with this. Was very easy to put together as the parts basically came preassembled so all you had to do with put some clips on the glass tank which allows the metal cage part to sit on top of it. It can be a little bit fiddly at times getting it to sit on the clips properly but can be done without any help. It comes with black clips that lock the metal cage to the base too, but I have left those out as I don't see them as necessary and it's easier to clean the cage also.Setting up the platforms was also easy but I found a pair of pliers helps screw the hooks on a bit tighter, just have to be careful and slow as to not split the wood as I imagine it might get split, but I have not had this issue.The cage also comes with a hamster house, which separates into two pieces. I don't use it as a house but instead I found the bottom piece quite useful as a hamster toilet. The food bowl is fine, but I don't use it as I have my own which I prefer.I had to use the wheel which came with the cage for a few days (before my proper one arrived). I think it's about 7" in diameter which is fine for most smaller animals but I have a Syrian hamster so got a 9" wheel instead. I think he liked the wheel that came with the cage though! But it is very, very noisy and it rattles on the side of the cage and also seems like the weight of my hamster angles it which makes it even more noisy!The glass tank is great and makes it easy to clean. However, I think my cheeky hamster has been burrowing away at one corner and has started to chew away at the seal. I don't see this being an issue though as I suppose it is inevitable and I highly doubt he would be able to break out by chipping away small parts of the seal in one corner, as the tank is very sturdy.

I bought this for my 6 female mice. I've had it for 2 days so far and they seem to love it. It is a lot bigger than their old cage. They are all still young mice and have tons of space to explore. My old cage was wooden and started to smell of urine after 2 months, so upgrading to a glass / wire cage seemed like a wise move. The only downside so far is I came home today to find flicked mouse poo all over the floor as it flicks out through the bars, I guess this would be the same for any wire cage though. It was a bit fiddly to fit the metal cage top to the glass bottom, however once it slotted together it was worth it. I didn't bother with the locking clips, it seems ok without.

I have 2 of these cages for my animals, I am trying to get a 3rd... first picture was my first attempt, and the 2nd picture is what I have received today, looks like the delivery drivers have enjoyed a nice game of football with it, delivered by UPS this is now 2 MONTHS I have been trying to get this new cage, and so far they can't deliver anything but refunds.I will say if you do manage to get one of these cages intact and undamaged in anyway, AND your lucky enough to receive your item before next Christmas, it does offer plenty of room for your furbabys, stable platforms and generally a great apartment for your wee ones... but out of the total of 4 I have received 2 usable ones, so your odds are around 50/50.... so goodluck, great item if it survives things these use to drive the vans 🤦‍♂️

Great cage, hamster loves it. Any drawbacks- you might want a better quality wheel, with wooden platforms not sure if they will get gnawed, and the clasps to hold cage to base could be better but overall really happy with it

Hamster had been much happier in this cage. Loads of room and the levels. Hamster loves to climb up to the top of the cage then perform monkey bars to the middle and drop to the bottom. Then rinse and repeat. Very happy hamster. Oh and no nibbling. The cage had fixed the escape tactics used on the previous more plastic model. Plus the visibility the bottom construction affords makes it more pleasant to watch the hamster and it's tricks. No issues with nibbling add others have commented this hadn't been out experience. The cage is very well constructed.

It is huge for mice but very good indeed. I progressed up from the karat 80 to this the 100 and I am impressed but for one thing that I have learnt. I would advise anyone buying any of these cages is give the shelves a few coats of varnish or sealant before use. The coat given on them is very, very thin indeed and the urine soaks into the wood and discolours it also, makes them hard to clean and not hygienic at all. Other then that, excellent five star cages….Oh and one other thing….it took two and three deliveries for both the 80 and 100 models respectively as they are very, very badly packed and on arrival the glass tanks were broken so check (shake the box and listen for broken glass) before accepting delivery.

The cage is really good and sturdy, looks to be made well and has good flexibility in terms of design, the shelves can be placed at any hight and the bars are just small enough my pet mice can't get out. It is also the best astetic look I've found while being the right size and suitable material so it is quite the find.However, it arrived ceremomiously dropped about 6 inches off the ground by our delivery driver who then abandoned it instead of bringing it into the house like the delivery description said they would. There was a very thin later if foam fabric around the outside and the main cushioning came from the white plastic corner protectors that are build in to the design, it's honestly a minor miracle it arrived in one piece. It's also definitely a two person job to put it together as the glass is understandably heavy and just generally awkard.

This is a lovely cage with plenty of room for creating things of interest for your mice! I have plastic tubing for them to get to the different levels and every time the cage is cleaned the layout of the “tube train route” is changed to keep them guessing.Easy to keep clean with the glass tank bottom and to hang fleecy sleeping quarters from the roof bars. I now have two cages like this and there is always one ready to move into when the mice have managed to wreck the one they are in! Love those meeces!

Är jätte nöjd med buren 🥰 den kom hem i bra skick och den var lätt att sätta ihop.Man märker verkligen vilken skillnad det blev med byte av bur. Hon biter inte på gallret, och hon har mycket mer yta att kunna röra sig på 😄

Ho acquistato la karat 80 per una coppia di gerbilli e a mio avviso questa gabbia (insieme alla karat 100) è rimasta una delle ormai pochissime gabbie in commercio che possono essere utilizzate come gerbillario, in quanto sono gerbillari a tutti gli effetti. Ho visto da diverse recensioni precedenti che la gabbia è arrivata con la parte in vetro rotta, personalmente non ho fortunatamente riscontrato questo problema, però molto probabilmente si è trattata solo di fortuna, anche se la scatola dov’era contenuta la gabbia era inserita all’interno di un’ulteriore scatolone molto grande (con su scritto fragile) e la parte in vetro era piuttosto protetta (angoli del vetro compresi). Mi sento quindi di consigliare vivamente questa gabbia, sopratutto per i gerbilli (la 80 per una coppia, la 100 per un trio) dal momento che consente di inserire quei minimi 20 cm di lettiera necessari ai gerbilli per scavare, cosa che ormai purtroppo quasi nessun’altra gabbia (spacciata come gerbillario) consente. È anche piuttosto facile da montare e anche molto pratica da pulire, dal momento che basta sollevare la parte delle grate per fare una profonda pulizia nella parte in vetro (es. quando si deve fare cambio lettiera), mentre per la pulizia quotidiana offre diverse aperture (nella parte superiore e laterale della parte in grate) piuttosto ampie e comode.

Gran tamaño ideal para mis jerbos ya que es muy completa,tienes su lugar para poner buena cantida de sustrato para escarbar y diferentes niveles para colocar zonas de juego y descanso.Lo unico malo esque me precupa un poco la silicona que recubre la zona acristalada ya que esta muy expuesta a que puedan roerla e ingerirla y se puedan intoxicar (vere como puedo proteger la zona para que eso no ocurra)y tambien el elevado precio...

Mon hamster nain la tout de suite adopté. Elle est parfaite, il adore creuser ses galeries. Jouer avec sa roue entre parenthèses un peu bruyante. À accessoiriser un petit peu . la cage arrivée en parfait état très bien emballée je recommande ce produit plus plus plusMise à jour avec deux ans après : rien a redire, cage qui se nettoie très facilement ! Les bois sont toujours de belles couleurs et sans tache.

Ein Käfig der durch seine Größe eine artgerechte Hamsterhaltung erlaubt. Bei mir wohnt seit über einem Jahr ein zufriedener Teddyhamster darin, dem seit dem Umzug noch nie so langweilig war, dass er zB die Gitterstäbe bzw. den Kunststoffzubehör angenagt hätte, oder wie ein irrer ewig im Laufrad rennt, da ausreichend natürliche Laufstrecke zu Verfügug steht.+ Durch die 3 Gitteröffnungen (mit einfachem Verschluss) kommt man mit einer oder Zwei Händen in jeden Winkel des Käfigs. Bei mir dient eine der Öffnungen als Zugang (über ein Rohr) in den darunter liegenden Auslauf (siehe Foto).+ Etagenspanplatten sind Lackiert und wirken halbwegs Flüssigkeitsabweisend; jeglicher Schmutz kann somit (auch nass) gut entfernt werden!+ Zubehör sehr vielfaltig: zB wurde das kleine Kunststoffhäuschen vom Hamster als Pinkelort ausgewählt, das Laufrad war für den Teddyhamster zu klein deswegen habe ich es durch ein Rodipet Korklaufrad ersetzt und das Laufrad vom Käfig dient jetzt als Badeschüssel in der obersten Etage (siehe Foto), es wäre aber für kleinere Nager groß genug.+ Die silikonartigen Verbindungen zwischen den einzelnen Glasplatten wirkten beim Auspacken etwas instabil, halten aber wie verschraubt, auch zeigt der Hamster keinerlei Interesse an ihnen (zB annagen).+ Wie ich las haben einige Probleme mit der Etagenplattenmontierung am Käfig gehabt. Hier muss man kleine Haken an den Seiten in die Platten drehen und diese am Käfig einhaken. Ev. hätte es da andere Lösungen gegeben aber mit etw. Geschick ist auch das absolut kein Problem, außerdem kann man so die Abstände selbst bestimmen, was eine große Anzahl von Positionen der Platten ermöglicht.+ Den Käfig kann man ganz einfach vom Glasunterbau abheben -> praktisch für eine einfache Gesamtreinigung oder Inspektion;() Auch wenn der Hamster die Kunststoffteile vom Zubehör annagen sollte, frisst er diesen sowieso nicht. Ein Hamster weiß schon halbwegs was gut für ihn ist- immerhin sind diese Tiere ja auch sehr gut darin nur dass vom Futter zu fressen was ihnen besonders schmeckt, also warum Kunststoff wenns als alternative Karotten gibt? ;) -> es ist durchaus möglich, dass sich ein Nager zB eine zu kleine Öffnung durch Abnagen des Randes vergrößert um besser durch zu schlüpfen. Egal ob Kunststoff Holz oder karton.+ Durch die große Höhe zw. den Etagen ist es auch kei Problem viele (auch hohe) Einrichtungsgegenstände ganz oben oder ganz unten unterzubringen+/- Verpackung war zwar von den einzelnen Teilen in Ordnung, jedoch befindet sich alles in einem etw zu großen Karton. Das bedeutet das es beim Versenden per Post schnell zu Schäden kommen kann (besonders bei den Glasplatten) - ist aber auch nur halb so schlimm, da das Rücksenden bei Amazon absolut kein Problem ist!+ Beschreibungen lagen für alle Komponenten bei+ Optisch ist der Käfig natürlich top, so passt der auch zu etw. edlerer Einrichtung (wenn man einen nicht so neongrünen "plastik Käfig" sucht) Der käfig wirkt auch massiv u stabil.+ Es ist absolut ein LangzeitKäfig der mehrere Generationen von Bewohnern überstehen wird, da es kaum Abnutzungserscheinungen gibt. Das Holz kann man im Laufe der Zeit und im Falle des Falles auch ersetzenMeine Beschreibung beruht nur auf Hamsterbasis, ich denke aber, dass er auch für andere Nager mehr als geeignet ist.Eventuell ist er für kleinere Tiere wie Mäuse (die man auch zu mehreren in ein Gehege stecken kann/soll) darauf zu achten, dass diese sich nicht ihr eigenes Revier schaffen und so den Köfig in 2 oder mehr Hälften teilen.Dies ist natürlich bei so Einzelgängern wie Hamstern sowieso kein Problem.Also zusammenfassend ein super Käfig, geräumig und auch für Bastler geeignet die den Käfig innen oder außen erweitern wollen.Er ist zwar etwas teurer also der Durchschnitt aber von der Größe und Aufteilung her gibt es kaum etwas vergleichbares.
