I took a bit of a gamble when buying this desk, with the other option being a tried and tested 2x4 Ikea Kallax + Capita setup. This desk seemed to be a bit more functional and had the potential for further add-ons.The package is pretty heavy and comes in 3 boxes but is packed very well. You will need someone else to help with unpacking and assembly.The individual panels are very good quality. The instructions are a bit vague but it doesn't take too long to figure out how everything slots together. The lock nut mechanism for putting the panels together is solid, although one of the corners was very difficult to tighten fully (I suspect this is because of one of the metal support bars not inserting fully into the drilled hole. When the full unit was assembled there was no wobbling or movement whatsoever - rock solid.I also attached the Sefour speaker stands and these were a great addition. I was sceptical about how sturdy they would be at first but no issues at all with a pair of Yamaha HS-7s.One thing that could definitely be improved is the cable management. There is a handy hole in the top panel for routing cables but these are then obstructed by the middle shelf. While you could pull the shelf out a little bit to create room for the cables, it feels like this aspect wasn't very well thought out. I ended up having all the cables behind the unit.Overall I'm very pleased with it but it's not quite perfect. Definitely better than my previous Ikea DIY desk though.
