Pumps Air, lol
I really like the one I bought, on that note: it’s quite enough, first one lasted one year and bought rebuilt kit $58.00 (came with magnets and two replacement diaphragms) to fix it after it quit pumping air, save your money and just buy another one. You have a 50/50 chance that it will be quite again, the rebuild was not and was quite loud and failed after 2 hours. So I had to buy a 2nd new one for $200. The 2nd one I bought was quiet, so was the first one. To sum it up I wasted my time trying to fix the first one. So I actually paid $258.00.

I could have easily repaired the old one
Product replaced the older, but same make and model. Unit is aerating my engineered septic system. There is a kit available to repair the original pump. I will repair it and use it as a standby spare. I chose to replace the whole pump. The new pump has a tendency to overheat and shut off to cool down. The vendor replaced the unit because of my concern over this tendency. The replacement unit does the same thing. I removed the after-market protective cover, now it is performing without overheating. I am not concerned that the unit is operating exposed, as it appears to be very robust and is possibly designed to withstand exposed installation.

6 years later - still Impressed !
I've been running this pump (ET-80) in my small 1/10th acre pond for 6 years now. It runs constantly in the summer. We have it sitting on a gravel base and covered by a decorative rock cover. We have never once brought the unit 'in' for the winter, yet when we plug it in at the beginning of each summer, it starts right up and begins immediately, moving a decent amount of water. Over 6 years, we haven't noticed any degradation. THIS PUMP HAS BEEN GREAT !!!We have it at about 7-8 ft depth and use a weighted air hose along with a Rootscape Bubbler. Truly excellent combo. We recently finished a larger (1 acre) pond and I'm looking to add the same pump to that pond. I'll have to do research to see if the unit can still push air properly at 15 ft depth, and with a much longer air hose... or I may have to step up to a larger pump (maybe the ET-120).If you have a pond, do yourself a favor and buy the ET-80 with the Rootscape Bubbler. Neither of the companies sponsored this review, but I'm just a truly impressed buyer/owner. 6 years is a good test!I'd be happy to respond to any Q's or comments, from Buyers or the company.

Doesn't work! Huge regret & money lost.
I have this for my septic pump system. My old one of 5 years went out due to a broken diaphragm, unfortunately it isn't made anymore so I couldn't do a rebuild it so I bought this one as a replacement. This pump literally shuts on & off at least 10x a day. When it shuts off & alerts my system then my tank pump stops. Once the aerator pump comes on again my tank pump starts again. My system is set by a timer so every time this happens my pump is not running as it should be or as long as needed. I tried to save money by buying this but I realize now I definitely should of bought the brand as now I'm going to be out of more money. We did blow out the line to make sure not a backflow problem and it's never in 120 degrees temps as they say it has a safety to not burn out the pump but sadly mine doesn't even run long enough for that to even happen...no reason for this issue, been a month now and nothing but problems. Unfortunately we hit the one day over no returns so we're going to have to eat it but I'd recommend spending more on a better brand.

Good replacement for septic tank.
Excellent for the price....I bought this to replace my Aerator on my septic tank. To have a company do it would have cost me 600 dollars. I wasn’t a big fan of the alarm outlet but it works. If you want to use the alarm outlet turn the unit upside down and remove the screw on the bottom and replace it with the brass 90 degree fitting provided in the box. If your unit is really noises like mine was at first remove the housing and tighten down the four mounting screws....one of mine was really loose causing loud vibration. Since I have done that it has been good to go.

Works good.
I use this for my sewer sprinkler system. It runs continuously for the last month. The last on lasted for about 4 years.
