This item allows me to use my Sony iPhone dock/alarm clock without keep having to peel the hard case on and off every time I wish to charge it (which is pretty much everyday!)My only criticism is that it tends to come out of the dock still attached to the phone which means pulling it out of the phone and putting it back on the dock.. not the end of the world but would have been nice if it had a stronger grip on the socket side..
