Well made
This steam juicer does a fantastic job. Just be careful when moving the tubing to drain. I slipped and burned my hand really bad.

The best juicer
My friend and grape suppler told me about her new juicer and how wonderful it was. It truly is wonderful!! I've made grape juice for awhile but nothing compares to the way it taste using this. It has so much more flavor. Everyone loves my grape juice. Even my girlfriend who has done grape juice for years. She plans on buying one next canning season. I tried apple juice for the first time. It was delicious. You don't have to peel or core the apples. Big time saver. When done juicing them I run the apples through my food mill to make applesauce. No waste! Next year I'm going to try plums.

Exactly what I've been looking for.
I've been faithfully looking for a steamer that met my needs for several years. I would have it narrowed down to a couple, then decide otherwise. I knew I'd spend some money on a better steamer, that was not a problem, so long as it delivered. The Mehu-Liisa Steamer was a wise, perfect choice for me! The look definitely shouts professional and better quality than the standard steamers. The quality is outstanding! It's just the right weight-not flimsy, not overly heavy. It performs like a jewel! The clean up was beyond easy. I have a freezer full of muscadine grapes, wild dewberries, and blueberries. I placed a gallon-sized bag of grapes in the steamer to make jelly and the steamer did the rest! I've already enjoyed using it several times. I LOVE the hose with the stop valve; it's sturdy, thicker than many and not too hot for the touch. This steamer will be passed down a couple generations for sure and work as well as my first use. Note: if you have a microwave oven over your cooktop, you will not be able to secure the lid on top properly, as the steamer is too tall to fit. I was able to partially cover the grapes, with about a 2 inch exposed gap with the lid. This did not affect the steaming process, quality, or time for steaming. Well worth the price and extremely pleased with the product.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!
I purchased in 2015, I’ve used this for 10 grape seasons now. This eliminates a ton of time, produces more juice from the grapes than other methods, easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store! I get 9 qrts of juice from a 5 gallon bucket of concord grapes! We have a small vine patch but 48-50 quarts of pure juice is amazing!

Making Jelly never been this easy
I have been very impressed with the Juicer since it was delivered. The pans are very high quality stainless and seem very durable. The ease of use finally makes jelly-making fun instead of a chore. I have owned it almost a month and successfully turned peaches, chokecherries, and wild plums into a clear juice. Chokecherries have very little berries, with very large pits inside, so I was very excited to try the juicer for those, and it worked wonderfully. I have also juiced tomatoes with various veggies (for when the garden is overflowing and you do not have time for an all-day canning operation). I threw them all in at once, cooked them down into juicy bullion/broth. I then froze the broth in muffin cups for use in soups and casseroles later. I have used some already and it adds awesome fresh vegetable flavor to soup. Clean up is easy too. I am still looking for new uses. My husband says its all about the tools, and this is a quality tool needed for every kitchen if you are at all involved in processing fruits or vegetables. All that, and a great warranty too.I also used Amazon super-saver shipping and received it unbelievably fast. It has been a successful purchase from beginning to end. There are cheaper versions, but based on other reviews here on Amazon I went with the Mehu-Liisa and I am glad I did.

Juice pot
I expected that the entire pot system to be the weight of the base pot. Also thought it would have a heavier lid. I steamed Besuty Berries to make juice for jelly.

Excellent except for a few personal design issues
The Mehu-Liisa is an amazing piece of equipment. It is well-made, strong, durable, and even aesthetically pleasing. It works very well, right out of the package. In fact, as far as I could tell, it has the highest quality of stainless steel available for a steam juicer at 18/10.However, I think it has two design issues that I personally didn't care for. Some people might not bother with these issues, some might think they are non-issues, and yet some might even see them as an advantages - I just didn't care for them.First, it's middle section pot (which holds the pasteurized juice) has to fit exactly in the bottom section pot (which holds the water). This is because the spout that pours out the juice (on the middle section pot) is exactly at the bottom side and it hits the top edge of the bottom section pot.In turn, the two pieces fit together like a puzzle. On the outset, that is good - there are advantages to that; however, my problem is that this enables pulp to mix with your pasteurized juice. Because the spout is right at the bottom, all the pulp that settles on the bottom drains with the juice (some people might like this, but I don't). I'd rather have the spout be slightly higher on the pot, so that the sediment and pulp will nestle below it and not mix with my juice.Second, the other design issue I don't care for is the size of the water pot on the bottom section. It is too small for my likes. Now don't get me wrong, the Mehu-Liisa did this on purpose because they made up for the smallness of the bottom section pot to increase the size of the juice basket; and it is huge - so in turn you have less space to boil water, and more space for fruit.Again, there are trade-offs. I'd prefer having a larger pot to boil water in, and a smaller basket for the fruit. This is because I think it is easier to change out the fruit (since it is on top) than to change out the water (since it is on bottom). With a larger pot of water, I change it out less often.Regardless which model of juice steamer you pick, the Mehu-Lissa is top of the line for quality and will probably last the longest - however, these two design issues I just described - you should at least be aware of, and decide for yourself if they are deal-breakers or not.
