Comfy and better than expected, and good value for money
First of all, this is a faux-leather chair. My expectations were not super high, but I needed something inexpensive but decent, and quickly so that my wife could recline in comfort following surgery. This has exceeded my expectations in that regard... it's very comfy and the pleather (or whatever they call it) looks ok and is soft and pleasant to the touch. The legs on the chair and footstool are, I presume, some kind of MDF, but they are heavy duty and close enough to solid wood for any casual observer. The assembly instructions were reasonably good, and it probably took me about an hour (I think) to get the chair and footstool put together. The box they came in was surprisingly small and I'd though there must be something missing but it's just very well organised! As others have mentioned, the massage is more of the "vibrate" variety.. rather than the high-end ones you find in shopping centres where there are things moving about under the material. Still, it's what I expected, and there are a good range of programs and power level settings so that you can make it focus on shoulders or lower back for instance. It's definitely nice, and relaxing, though it's not like having an actual massage :)The heat is great and separately controllable. The recliner doesn't slide into a full horizontal sleeping position, more of a very relaxed slump... but it's enough to sleep if you really want to.When you want to get out, the mechanism makes it quite easy to return to an upright position.Overall, I really like it, though I would prefer it to be a little bit softer and more padded / supportive, but it's the kind of chair where, several hours of sitting later, you're still comfortable... whereas some chairs are initially seemingly comfy and then after a while you start to ache.I've spent more on chairs that were nowhere near as good, so I continue to be very happy with this.

Great Chair
I bought this chair due to my old one being a pain in the neck (literally! I used to get an aching neck!) The chair was delivered in one large box, well packed. Inside the box it contained all the tools and parts you need to assemble the chair. On my own I managed to put the chair and stool together in around 45 minutes so it would probably have been 25 mins with two people. The wires for vibration / heat etc come out of the back right hand side of the chair. The recline function works well by sitting back to recline or forward to bring the chair upright again, this is all very smooth and easy to do. The massage function is more of a vibrate function with 3 levels of intensity and a variety of patterns in which the chair targets different areas of the body. You can also select certain areas to activate on their own e.g lumbar and shoulders, back and thighs etc. It's a good system that works well and makes little noise. The heat function works in the lumbar area and will heat up for a period before shutting off again, getting nicely warm without getting too hot.The leather effect looks good and the chair is very comfortable to sit in, highly recommended

Good value and comfortable
The chair arrived very promptly and assembly was almost trouble-free. The nuts and bolts that hold the back to the seat were a bit tricky as the spanner provided did not fit the nuts at all well so I resorted to my mole wrench which made it very easy.I had intended buying the chair without the vibration and heating but when I discovered that it was cheaper to have them included by about £30 I went for that model. The chair is comfortable and seems well made so I am very happy with it so far. I'm not sure if I will actually use the vibrating and heating but they are there anyway!I would recommend these chairs and 4 stars for me is a good rating - only perfection gets 5 stars!

Do not buy this
If you use this armchair every day the legs going to brake in half where they were bent. The faux leather looks good, just don't sit on it, or touch it at all, because it is going to peel off. It's rubbish.

Lovely comfy and reasonable pricr
I love my chair. It is lovely and comfy and looks good too. Massage function is a bit loud on the shoulder setting but isn’t loud on the lower back and thigh settings. Quiet happily sit and read with the massager on …bliss.I put it together on my own. Easy to do except arms which led to swearing as I couldn’t line up the holes but managed in the end.My only wish is that Hermes were not the delivery agent. Received notification they had delivered my parcel on Friday and left outside my back door (I live in a block of flats!)Chair actually arrived the following Tuesday and the delivery man was lovely and helpful. Shame about the stress on Friday! But I love this chair

Not enough padding and the massage balls are uncomfortable.
The chair lacks padding and has 2 plastic balls glued to the top of the padding where you sit, to massage your thighs. It makes the chair really uncomfortable, because you can feel the balls when sat. I personally removed the massage balls from the thigh part and put them in the back of the chair. I also bought some memory foam off cut and added it to the bottom, and it is 10x more comfortable now.
