Great for kids learning

As a kindergarten teacher I have loved Spectrum workbooks for my students and have recommended my parents for extra practice. Though I don’t like too much color, it takes away the concentration of the child from work.

I have homeschooled three children and am on my fourth now. I had ordered a lot of workbooks to try out. These were by far the best of the best. They are colorful and enticing. The work is not so hard that the child gets discouraged. It colorfully and expertly guides the child straight into reading and writing. I am weary of books that bore children to death and books that feel that four lines of letter or number writing are going to better my five year old's life. I love that they allow you to look in the books on here before ordering.

Overall, this is the best series of supplemental workbooks. It follows our public school (core) curriculum, so it is easy to supplement any work at school. It has been immensely helpful during this school year with off/on in-person learning.The lessons are straightforward and 2-3 pages, so it is perfect for 10-20 minutes of learning.

This has A LOT of drawing along with the writing lessons. My son hated it and it was really hard to get through, I skipped most of the drawing stuff. If your child is artistic and likes coloring and drawing this would be great for them. But my son is more math leaning and not super into artsy stuff so this was a difficult homeschool thing for him. My younger daughter though I might get this for her when she gets to his age to see if she'd like it since she is more art leaning.

My students love this workbook by Spectrum! It is so basic and helps ou walk the student through writing. This one is very easy for Kindergartners to learn writing!

I really like using the Spectrum books for a lot of my homeschooling bookwork.
