Computational Thinking (The MIT Press Essential Knowledge series)

Purchased for my daughter... she found it very informative and beneficial for her entry studies of algorithms.

Very good primer on the topic. Even for the well initiated, this book might bring up to date knowledge that you didn't know you didn't know.

A well-written, concise text I will use for a Computational Thinking course

Very light and travel size

Having read two of this series, I can say they have little meat. This one is not about CT. It is about the history, divisions, and pedagogical topics included in the term. You will not advance your CT through reading this book.

O livro aborda o tema de forma concisa e compacta, rastreando as motivações, fundamentos e limites do Pensamento Computacional/ Computational Thinking(CT). Mostra, sem muitos detalhes, as influências Matematicas, de Design e Engenharia em Computação.Sugiro a leitura para todo aluno de Ciência da Computação.Algo que me chamou bastante atenção é a distinção que os autores fazem entre CT For Beginners e CT for Professionals.Minha crítica, o livro é muito pro-US, demais!

Pienso que habla sobre un tema muy amplio y complejo, pero lo resume en palabras simples para hacerlo entendible a casi cualquier persona que lo lea.Parece que MIT Press asegura siempre muy buena calidad en estos temas.

It was an easy to follow overview of what computational thinking is all about. I will reread it again and again when needed.

Excellent book, easily readable.
