On its own. However, it needs to ondulate a bit, it won't stand up in a straight line.

Would this be suitable to paint with wood stain.

I'm not sure that the screen would take a wood stain as it seems to be already coated with a matt varnish(?) The bamboo certainly doesn't look raw. Maybe some of those 'any surface' paints would work? Hope this is helpful.

Can it be cut to size easily?

Although I haven't cut the screen to size, I think it could easily be done without damage. The bamboo strips are individually stuck onto a thin felt adherent backing, so I think you could just take a parcel opener down the gap between the bamboo strips to get the length you want. However, it is flexible enough that you could fold it to the required length.

Is this one full piece of bamboo or does it have joints aong the length?

It’s a full piece just don’t have it anywhere it’s windy the wind ripped it to pieces but before that it looked lovely
