Great buy!!!
I have an 11 year old and two 9 year olds. They have been sailing for a few years and recently our club pushed for helmets. These looked great in comparison to the large bulky helmets and they are half the price. The kids love them! Now a couple other kids at the sailing center bought them. They also fit adults. They dont have support on the back of the head but are great on the front and the sides. Also, light weight and allow air to flow. We live in Florida and they dont make the kids real hot. These are a great buy!

Great product - just as described!
Well made, lightweight and comfortable. Even looks good compared to a lot of other Safety caps! Bought this for wing foiling and it works perfectly. Would have given it 5 stars if it was a little larger to fit adults with larger heads.

can wear in the water, light weight, questionable build.
My son had skull surgery and has to wear head protection when he plays. Bike helmets are too hot in the unconditioned classrooms. We bought 2 of these. The first the straps fell off right away. The second is holding up but the flap that holds the hard part in will not stay folded so the hard part slides out. Also, the chin strap is in a weird place almost to the forehead. But I love the idea of this and will keep trying to utilize it.

Sailing head protection
While you can get the bump insert on its own and fit it into your favorite Mount Gay or floppy hat (as I have) , having a hat fitted to the insert with greater ventilation was desired. A friend in our fleet has a hat similar, but with a longer bill.I was going to say i wish the bill was longer, but I see now that was by design for lower bondage. Will have to see.I will probably cut off the chin strap but the back clip is really nice.I do wish it came in other colors, especially high visibility or with reflective fabric to spot easier in foul weather.

Perfect sailing cap
Sailing camp required a helmet be worn. Looking for something light weight, comfortable and breathable, look no further.Sure you can use a bike helmet or ski helmet but seriously this is a much better choice.Brim is also great at blocking the sun. A winner.

Strap not reliable
Great style and fit. My 17 twin boys felt it was "cool" enough to wear. After first few times in the water the rear strap fell off..now we have to swim for it everytime they fall from any water sport.

might be too small for some adults

Not really for sailing
It doesn’t cover the back of the head (where hits are likely), and to keep it on you must sinche the neck cord tight which is quite uncomfortable. The material/build seems like it might fall apart after a couple uses. It’s a great idea but needs some adjustments to the design.
