Yes, easily, using sharp Xacto-type knife or razor blade.

Q: I need three panels of caning to fill three 17" spaces that are 31" in height. How would you suggest I order this?

I would order a 24" width, 3 feet for for the height. Then order 3 pieces of this for the 3 spaces. If my calculations are correct, that would mean 9 for the quantity. Please check my calculations before ordering. I don't want to be responsible for any mistakes.

Q: Is this 12" by 18" per order? Just want to be entirely clear.

It is always 18" wide & you order it by the foot. When ordering, the quantity is for 1 foot is 1, for 2 feet, 2, etc.

Q: I need to repair 3 chair backs. Each chair needs 18x24 piece of Cane. How much would it cost to purchase the necessary cane?

I would order a quantity of 7, 6 ft for the backs and a little extra just in case. As far as price, Amazon will tell you the price.
