Yes. Dry thoroughly and then apply either direct or spray on to a clean cloth to apply

Can you use this on matt black helmets?

I do, works great. I’d recommend doing a few coats though. Apply, wipe excess, wait a few mins then repeat.

Do you use this after the motorbike is washed?

Wash using a non wax shampoo, dry and then use the muc-off to finish off your Matt paint work
