Sharp R1874T 850W Over-the-Range Convection Microwave, 1.1 Cubic Feet, Stainless Steel

First thing to point out is the complete lie in the description. I purchased this to install in my of grid RV. I have my own solar power and as such I'm always looking for lower power consumption appliances. I love the dual functionality of this oven but the stated power draw is way lower than actual. My system has circuit monitoring so I get real time usage. This microwave pulls 1650 Watts of power rendering it useless in my setup unless I'm plugged into the grid. I love the way it looks, the function, and the cost for function is excellent when compared to the market. I just wish I could use it when boondocking without worrying about power consumption. I need to point out that I'm rating the microwave itself for functionality, controls, looks, and ease of install. Buyer beware that no new microwave is set up for venting, they're always set up for recirculation. I had to uninstall, flip the fan, and reinstall to get the vent to work properly.

This was a replacement for the identical microwave that was installed in our Motor Home in 2006, and worked fine until now.Because we were able to get the exact replacement, it was simply plug and play.We're happy.

I received this microwave convection oven two days after order and, with the help of a strong friend, installed it easily the next day. This over the counter oven is a direct replacement of equipment that failed after over seven years of very hard daily use. As a result of being a replacement, I didn't have to change the mounting plate and used the one already in place. The oven worked perfectly out of the box and is already being put through its paces as a daily workhorse. The shipper did an excellent job getting the oven on the way and I couldn't have asked for more.

Don't know who's fault, the seller, shipper or Amazon.The oven arrived three days early, without notification, and no one home to take delivery, so back on the truck goes the oven.Clicked the Fedex link to see when the re delivery would be, and was advised it would be in three days.The next day, another delivery attempt was made, again with no one home, so back on the truck.Worried that all of the unnecessary "man handling" and riding around in the back of the delivery truck could damage the oven, I contacted Amazon with my concern.I received notification that the delivery was rescheduled for the following afternoon.The next morning to my surprise, a Fedex truck arrives with the oven. I was not planing to be home in the morning, due the scheduled afternoon delivery.The oven is delivered, without a shipping carton, and had damage to the cardboard container. I took delivery hopping for the best, "BIG MISTAKE" the styrofoam protecting the oven was in pieces, and the face of the oven was badly damaged, exactly what I feared.I wanted to contact the seller, so make arrangements for a replacement to be sent, and the damaged one returned.I was advised by Amazon, that that was not possible, and I would have to take the damaged oven to the nearest UPS store, for shipment back to the seller, and to re- order from the seller.After this ordeal, that was the last thing I was going to do.I contacted a "big box store" who beat the price, free shipping and was delivered hassle free.The Oven was a replacement for the Sharp Micro/Conv. oven in my Monaco Motorhome.Installation was straight forward. Be sure to read "ALL" of the instructions, before you start the change out. Most likely you will use the factory cardboard box, ( not the shipping container) for the install.The Oven looks great, the stainless steel finish matches the stainless steel residential refrigerator I installed. It performs and operates just as the original.I love the oven, unfortunately I do not have the same feelings about the buying experience.
