Transcend 32GB JF700 USB Flash Drive, USB3.1 Gen1, Pen Drive, Black - TS32GJF700

I will be quick and concise as possible with my review. I needed USB memory stick to transfer large blu-ray rips 10GB and television shows. I never purchased a USB memory but initially purchased this item:Kingston Digital DataTraveler 101 Generation 2 - 32 GB Flash Drive DT101G2/32GBZEThttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TS1J1S/ref=oh_o06_s00_i00_detailsHowever the write speed were atrocious writing at a speed of 5MB/Sec. It took about 40 minutes to transfer one blu-ray rip which was not going be practical. So returned it decided on this item which was only an extra $10 to get a USB 3.0 stick.Tested it out first on USB 2.0 since I'm chugging along with a five year old desktop that doesn't have USB 3.0. I'm getting speeds of 25MB/sec which is 500 percent faster than my returned USB 2.0 stick and transferring 10GB blu-rays around 4 minutes.I decided to purchase a PCIE express card to get USB 3.0 listed here:2-Port USB 3.0 Super Speed PCI Express (PCIe) Card Adapterby JACOBSPARTShttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005JEOM4C/ref=oh_o04_s00_i00_detailsI went from 25MB/sec to about 35-40MB/sec write speeds with USB 3.0I was thinking of also buying a "Patriot Supersonic 32 GB USB 3.0 High Performance" stick, however this item was $20 more about 33 percent more with reviewers claiming 60-70MB/sec write speeds on USB 3.0. It has high reviews but always be careful with post-purchase rationalization with more expensive items getting better reviews simply just for being more expensive. This item was plenty fast enough for my needs and the marginal difference for paying 33 percent more for about marginal transfer speed increase that would probably shaved off out 1 minute from a transfer time of 4-5 minutes did not justify the higher price.This item earns five stars for the price, speed, and value of having faster speeds.

Wow it's hard to believe the drop in prices and the speed of the newer units - - this drive is smoking fast - and 32 gigs for this price - WOW - if you want a fast drive this is it - - and a life time warranty - - well you cann't beat that - fast - big and life time warranty -- I put it on a USB port on my Asus wireless router as an ex drive - works great -

First of all, this drive is big and fast. Blazing on USB 3.0. Not much to say there. My complaint is about the hole for the keyring. It's too small to put onto your keyring. You have to thread a lanyard through the tiny hole and then attach to your keys. I don't know why flash drive manufacturers don't pay more attention to how or where to put a hole for a keyring. >90% of people put their flash drives on their keys so they should really design the drive with this in mind. Luckily, I had an old nylon lanyard from an old drive to use, but 1 star off for bad mounting design.

I chose this brand 'cuz I wanted definite reliability. I've owned this drive for 7 months now. I have loaded over 300 videos on it and am very satisfied with it's performance. No mysterious deletes, nor any surprises. I bought a Transcend 810 also; it is backup for this 700. I have the same good things to say about it also.

This is an amazing USB. The speed is very very fast.I was a little hesitant to buy this one because I like usb's to fit on my keychain securely, but this has been doing a good job so far.One thing I would like to note is its durability. this was left in my jeans pocket, and was washed in a full cycle, then put in a dryer. When I found this in my dryer, I thought it was a goner, but it still worked!!Anyways, other than the lack of secure keychain, this is a great product

I finally filled my Mac's hard drive and was getting nasty little messages about lack of space. My last flash drive (maybe about 7-8 years ago) was one GB--and I thought that was really great! When I started shopping this time, I was amazed to see this 32 GB drive (there is even a 64 GB drive!). I have moved a bunch of my iDVDs/iMovies to this flash drive and it has cleared a ton of space on my Mac's hard drive.Just think how many GBs these little cuties will hold in a few more years!!!

I purchased this Flash Drive to move larger data files from my Apple Macbook to my PC and vice versa. Does this task right out of the box. Because it is a 3.0 Flash Drive, it transfers data quickly. I would have liked to put it on my key ring but I know the cap would snap off accidentally. The cap protects the piece that connects to your computer when transferring data. Would have given 5 stars were it a one piece self contained unit. I paid $25 and would purchase again.
