Súper bueno este queso lo comía cuando vivía en Venezuela el mismo sabor y buen envoltorio lo traje a Utah

Delivery was slow ( thank you, USPS) but it had been so well blacked the cheese was in great condition. I will buy again.

I bought this Dutch Edam - 4 lb. Ball (4 pound).- I normally LOVE Edam Cheese!- I've eaten Edam Cheese for years and it is my favorite.- I like Edam the best when it is younger and mildly salty-sweet and nutty.- But, I have also eaten it aged, where it is firmer and not as creamy or sweet, and I like that too.- Lately, my local small town market stopped selling any Edam, and now only sells Gouda.- So, when I saw this 4 lb. Edam ball, I just had to order it to get my favorite cheese again!WARNING, BAD CHEESE...- What I got was a very dry, bitter, ball of VERY stinky, sickening cheese that smells like a butt!- THIS IS NOT EDAM!- Or at least not a properly processed, or properly aged, or properly stored Edam!- I had a serious go-around with the seller about this problem. He did finely refund the cost.- I would now suggest to only buy cheese from a legitimate Cheese Shop!- Who knows how these online Sellers are really storing their cheese, or how old the cheese is, before they ship it to you.- ME... I learned a very bitter, stinky, unpleasant lesson...- DO NOT buy cheese from private Sellers on Amazon!

So long story short my aunt brought this type of cheese all the way from Belize, where she's from. when she got home she set the cheese on the counter and went to start unpacking, her dog, a very large pit mix. Ate all the cheese wax and all! It was an almost 4lb block of cheese. She was devastated she hadn't even gotten to taste that little bit of home. So I set out on a mission to find this cheese for her here in the states somewhere close. And behold I found this little company on amazon! She loved the cheese, it tasted great and I will be ordering again soon.

Very disappointed in this cheese. It was not fresh. It was dry, almost like a hard cheddar. Will not buy it again. Will try using it for cheese sauce or grilled cheese sandwiches.

I like it; my wife not so much. Saw reviews stating it was "creamy"; it's not. It's the consistency of a dry/hard Monterey Jack. But to me it tastes "good". I'm not an expert on Edam. This is one of the few times I've had it. First time I had it was in Mexico -- Oaxaca of all places! That "queso de bola", AKA Edam according to the packaging there WAS creamy and subtly delicious. This one -- again -- tasty and "cheesy", is more like a cross between a sharp cheddar and a Monterey Jack. I'd recommend it for the packaging, flavor, value, and condition it arrived in. But I don't think I'd buy it again because it wasn't quite what I was expecting.
