Good book for beginners.
The recipes mentioned here are very easily available and I think this is a good book for people who have just started learning about Ayurvedic lifestyle and want to include Ayurveda in their daily diet. The book has a lot of bonus points , like the chart to determine your constitution, how the food lying in front of you have amazing health + healing benefits you were unaware of and many more.

Book mostly for non Indians
The explanation of the three basic body types is done very well. Recipes for soup in thebook are good. Rest all recipes are what we indians follow at home everyday. The intended audience of this book is more of the non indians.

Buy it if you have 20/20 vision.
Arrived on time as per tracking messages. Probably would not have bought it had I seen it in a book store. The print is too small and dull dull to read even with my eye glasses I was straining terribly. Some notes at the bottom of the page are like tiny ants that I need a magnifying glass to read. I can’t read more than 2 pages at a time.As for the content, hard for a layperson to understand. Recipes are mostly easy Indian recipes.

Informative book. Dr. Lad and his wife had taken real pains to collect and present the invaluable information in the easiest possible way. Even a novice can very well understand the concepts.

My favourite cookbook
I bought this over 10 years ago, and it is still my favorite cookbook. I particularly love the kitchari recipes, I've made the pitta kitchari recipe for nearly everyone I know. This book covers the basics for how to follow an ayurvedic way when it comes to cooking, and I would say it's relatively traditional (as compared to some more new age ayurveda cookbooks I've come across lately), which I really appreciate. The recipes are easy to follow and offer a range of meals, dishes, soups, drinks, teas etc. Highly recommend!
