Thanks, GREAT PRODUCT
The book is great since I got in a concise form the essential info about cheap and second-hand solar panels. Both internet and the real world swarm with books and guides about how to assemble a DIY solar electric system but it’s hard for me to find the pros and cons of such a decision packed together and supported by some smart calculations. If you’re an avid DIY-er, this book will not provide you with info you don’t know. Instead it draws your mind and attention on issues you should constantly beware of. The book is an excellent guide not only for PV beginners simply because, judging from my own experience, it’s rather easy to forget some plain truths while hanging in PV forums on the web.

Great Info -- Poorly Written
This book has a lot of useful information and is worth the four bucks. It is very poorly written, however. The writers seem to have English as a second language. They would benefit by spending $500 - $1000 to have a writer/editor step in and clean it up.

Solar panels demystified
Quite an interesting read!I’m not an electric engineer, my background is chemical engineering. I'm interested in solar technology itself because it is close to my current job. This book lays the basics of solar panels technology and that is what I liked most of all. I know the authors barely intended to choose chemical engineers as a target group but nevertheless the book seems written so as to fall within my domain:-)The chapter about surveying second-hand solar panels was really amazing. I guess any solar DIYer would appreciate it.

Informative
Informative but I think it does not explain some of the complex issues around Speckmanship that MFC use. Small book, could have appendix with more on real life examples.

The truth...
Is just the ebook I was looking for. It had the calculations and terms necessary for understanding the potential and limits of the materials and design of any size. I am interested in going totally off the grid one panel at a time in my mobile home. Great book, thanks, John.Wilson

Did anyone read this before agreeing to publish?
Very poorly written. The author seems to have a significant amount of electrical/solar panel experience, but the poor editing makes me question his credibility. The title also does not represent the content of the book. This is much more of a DIYers guide to solar panel design and installation than an exposé on the industry that you might expect from the title. There are some references given that are not terrible, by I'm not sure that is worth the $5 Amazon is charging.

It is a good book for those who have little knowledge about solar ...
It is a good book for those who have little knowledge about solar panels and a fine tutorial for teaching a class on basic solar.
