KT88 Power Vacuum Tube, Platinum Matched Quad, Pack of 4

This is the 3rd set of tubes I have used over many years of use out of my Cayin tube amp. I can tell you, these are the very best sounding out of the 3 sets I have used. They do take about 75 to a 100 Hours of listening to reach their peak performance. As of now based completely on sound quality I would buy them again. in a heart beat. That is of course, if they all last without failure for at least 3 years. They are not however, inexpensive when you buy a match set of 4.

An immediate upgrade over the PS Vane Horizon series they replaced. Running four of these in a Muzishare X7 and couldn’t be happier with the sound quality and punchy, crisp sound.

Fast service, arrived on time as promised. Out of the box, one tube damaged. Other looked fine. Never inserted in amp. Sorry to have to return the set.

You might want to try the cheaper re releases of the KT88. If your amp will also accept the (Gold Lion) KT77, and if , like me, you weren't really thrilled with the initial presentation of present release KT88 tubes, I would go with their KT77. The recent EH version of the KT88 looks to be based closer to the original KT88 (top getter). I'll post up a GL KT88 vs EH KT88 when the EH have had more burn in time.
