Love being able to slip this into my backpack. Our company has bike shares to go from office to office and I prefer to have my own helmet instead of using the loaners they have for the bikes.Very comfortable helmet. Use it for all my rides now.

High-quality, lightweight helmet that breathes quite well. The built-in sunglasses port is a great addition that I make frequent use of. Sunglasses aside, the front of this helmet is lower than my others. It's not uncommon for the tops of my sunglasses to brush against my brow, and on occasion, I'll feel the helmet pressing down on the sunglasses to the point where they rub against the bridge of my nose. The trendy larger sunglasses wouldn't really go with this helmet, in my opinion.It's a great shape for my somewhat round head. I agree that it has a polished, professional appearance. Thankfully, I have not yet tried out the safety mechanisms. The sphere may be easily shifted around for a thorough inspection of the helmet. Surprisingly, it does not compromise the helmet's comfort.Taken as a whole, this protective headgear is excellent. Do you think it's twice as nice as a helmet costing $100? Really don't know what to say. Should I make a second purchase? Yes.

I've never been a regular wearer of helmets so I can't compare this to other brands, but this one suits me. The medium/large fits me well, and it's comfortable to wear throughout longer rides. It's also cooler than I expected, which is a real benefit as I live in a hot and often humid climate. And though it shouldn't matter, I like the simple design of this helmet as opposed to those that have a more aerodynamic look, so to speak. And I really appreciate the low-key logo; it's tasteful, not garish like you see on so many products.But the most important thing for me is the fold. The main thing keeping me from wearing a helmet before was having to lump around a bowl. I know that's a bad reason, but it's the truth. This folds down enough to easily fit into all of my bike bags and even the small backpack that I often carry as a purse. Admittedly, it's a squeeze for the latter, and I don't carry much in that purse anyway, but the fact that it fits means that I'll use it, and using it is definitely safer than going without.I was lucky to get a nice discount on this (for Prime Day, I think, though perhaps it was some other deal), but I think it's worth it at its regular price. Of course I hope never to give this the ultimate test, but it feels like a sound helmet and works for the way I bike. I'd definitely buy this again.

If anyone doubts this helmet cannot protect you, let me be the first to say, I have witnessed first hand for myself! This helmet saved my life! It is December 26th at 7am riding my bike during a wet slippery morning. My bike slides from some wet leaves and sticks, I crash and bang! I hit pavement and this helmet saved my teeth and my noggin. All I had was a headache from the impact and a sore neck. I’m sure without the helmet I would have missing teeth and a ride to an ambulance with the impact! Just the drop alone from my height 5’,9” would have definitely given me brain damage or missing teeth! I hit my head on pavement, luckly no brain damage, just sore wrist, hip, and just scratches. Wow, just wow, how protective this helmet by fend was, 8 stars! It is worth every penny, at first I thought, this helmet is too expensive, but this incident definitely made me a believer! I don’t know if similar helmets or less expensive helmets would have done the same job, but I would not like to know or try that again! Thank you, Fend company! Outstanding product! This Fend helmet saved my life! Yes, it still manages to fold and held its shape, during and after the incident! Best portable lightweight helmet in my personal opinion

I bought this helmet specifically for the folding feature and its safety certification and it is amazing! The attention to detail is great it came in beautiful packaging and the design is well thought out. I commute in NYC every day and the helmet effortlessly folds and fits into my bag. It is compact while also being very comfortable. It feels more durable than then other folding helmet I have tried it locks into place when I unfold it and stays in place. Most importantly it is CPSC & CE Certified so I know it will keep me safe. The additional thick pads, canvas carrying bag, and rotating adjuster in the back are great touches. I couldn't be happier!

Light but sturdy. Folds up well (though I agree with another reviewer that a "click" when folded would be a nice feature). Lots of ventilation. Highly recommended.

Though I like many things about this helmet, my major complaint is that it does not lock back into place when in compact mode. The sides just flop out. I thought I had gotten a defective one, so I contacted the seller. And as per the seller’s instructions, sent in a video detailing and demonstrating the issue—no catch to hold the sides in place when they are contracted. If this were to be remedied, this would be the perfect compact helmet.

Love the convenience of this helmet. I live in NYC and find myself using Citi Bikes to get around almost everyday. Carrying around a helmet is a must for me and having one that collapses down by 50% is super handy when it comes to fitting in my small backpack.
