Turns average cuts of meat into great cuts!
I've owned a Jaccard meat tenderizer for several years now and it still works great. I'm buying this one to take to my mom's to have when our family gets together for a bbq (and for her to use). On a recent trip we purchased a pime cut of tri-tip thinking that this cut might make up for not being able to tenderize the meat but we were all disappointed. Witth the tenderizer we can buy the choice cut and still have a better meal.I also like that it's easy to disassemble and dishwasher safe so cleaning is a breeze. Like I mentioned we've owned one for a long time and it looks and works like new. Great product.

Great meat tenderizer
This works well. It made a cheaper steak very tender. Just be aware that when that it definitely speeds up the cooking time; more than I expected. I overcooked my steak the first time, when I only reduced my usual grilling time by a minute. I didn’t really think that putting holes in the meat would make much difference, but it did.

One of the best kitche gadgets I ever got
This really breaks up the muscle adhesions and trigger points in the meat. I know it will never bake a brisquit tender and non-chewy, but that is the nature of the meat if you don't spend a day slow cooking.

AN EFFECTIVE WELL MADE PRODUCT
When I first looked at this tenderizer,it seemed more than I wanted to pay for something like this. But this goes under the old saying " You get what you pay for " and this is an excellent well made product. I looked at the lesser priced tenderizers with pins instead of blades, and figured it would be less efficient pinching small holes in the meat as apposed to slicing it with the Jaccard Tenderizer. The blades on this actually make a small slice in the meat.Jaccard also has a 48 blade model for a couple of $$ less. But to my knowledge it does not come apart for cleaning, this one does. ( Check out my customer image on the product page ). It is extremely important to clean this properly after using it on meat. After using this for a couple of weeks it seems to work quite well. The only thing I found a bit discouraging was you have to go over a area multiple times to tenderize it properly. In doing so it tends to flatten the meat down, particularly noticeable on a thinner cut of meat. I originally thought one pass would do it.This does work well for marinating meat, the holes allow the marinade to get into the meat in a short period of time.If you use this on a large roast and the blades go in all the way, you are going to have a tough time getting them out again. I found when using it on a larger piece of meat, if you cook it for a short period of time before tenderizing it it works better. the blades seem to go in easier and the blood is congealed a bit so its less messy also. But best of all the meat you use it on is more tender.Even though this comes apart easily for cleaning and reassembles just as easy, it's still a bit difficult to clean. Running the dish washer just to clean it is not practical at times. I found that soaking and swishing it around in a pot of hot soapy water right after use works best for me. I also use my Oxo Good Grips Flexible Vegetable Brush which has long bristles to clean between the blades. Caution blades are very sharp

Game-Changer for Tough Cuts
This thing punches way above its weight.I grabbed the Jaccard tenderizer mostly for short ribs and steak cuts I wanted to break down faster—and it seriously delivered. The blades go deep, but not messy. It doesn’t shred the meat—it just opens it up perfectly to soak in marinades and cook evenly.I’ve used it on thick cuts before braising and on thinner steaks before searing. The difference in texture is legit. Even cheaper cuts come out tender and flavorful. Bonus: it shortens cooking time a bit too.Feels solid in hand, cleans up fine (I just rinse immediately and toss it in the top rack of the dishwasher), and the blades are sharp AF—so don’t get cocky. If you care about flavor and texture, get this. Makes you feel like you’re leveling up your kitchen game without trying too hard.

Quick and Easy
This device worked very well for me when tenderizing meats. To me a few minutes to figure out how to take it apart but did so and put all 3 pieces in the dishwasher. Works very well, have used it on chicken, steak, and pork loins. Much better than the older way.

Blade Tenderizer.
I purchased this on my daughter's recommendation and I'm so happy I did. It made all the difference in the petite sirloins we grilled the other night and I am looking forward to trying it with other meats/poultry. Easy to clean, and given its sharpness, I strongly recommend the top shelf of the dishwasher.
