ToneShaper Guitar Wiring Kit, For Fender Jaguar

This kit is awesome, and gave me everything I needed to completely wire my project Jaguar. Two sets of good quality wire, in both normal plastic insulation as well as cloth-covered wire for a "vintage" restoration.Great quality switches and potentiometers are included, and everything fit perfectly in the chrome plates that I bought elsewhere.One small problem I encountered was that the switches would not pull down completely tight against the back of the metal plates, and I needed to add some small washers to each switch mounting screw. Not a problem at all, but it's what I needed to do in order to ensure a solid mounting for the slide switches.Overall this is an amazing value over trying to collect all of the parts on their own, and it's nice to know you have everything you need all in one package. They even included a "tone bleed" mod which you can easily add to the volume potentiometer if you'd like to prevent the slight tone drop that you often encounter when you turn down the volume a little bit. I tried it with and without, and I personally like it better without the tone bleed mod, but it's awesome that they included it.Wonderful kit!

I totally recommend this kit because: they supply plenty of great quality wire, great quality switches, and great quality pots. Seriously. Top notch….. this gets 4 stars because the caps and resistor in this kit are about as low end as you can get. I recommend getting this kit and then going to amplifiedparts and spend $5 on a set of orange drops

Literally has everything you need. US spec Jaguar components.It’s a skill issue if you still get this wrong

Everything in this kit is of very good quality. There is extra wire depending on if you want cloth wrapped or standard plastic coated wire. The only problem I had was with the mini pot shafts for the roller knobs. The ones supplied are much too small diameter to fit the standard USA roller knobs internal diameter. The US roller knobs have internal diameter of 1/4” or approx 6mm, but these shafts are about 3mm. As a result I now have to buy new mini pots or find nonstandard knobs somewhere else. Kinda frustrating.

Finding replacement wiring and components for my Vintage Fender Jaguar guitar at such an affordable price was great. I had to replace all the pots, resistors, caps and switches since they were over 50 years old and weren't functioning properly. I had searched for this item for years and the only ones I could find were either too expensive or not OEM parts. The caps and resistors weren't exactly the same as in my guitar (smaller, which I believe to be an upgrade), but by following the detailed instructions, I was able to bring my guitar back into playable condition. The components were well made and were a great substitute for obsolete, non-available components. Thank You!

It was all good until I was done wiring and one of the 500k pots didn’t work at all

The switches are good and the pots are top notch. The amount and choice of wiring supplied is generous. There were a few parts missing from the kit I received but luckily I had them in the jag I was fixing.There are a few odd things about this product. The wiring diagram is very poorly executed and unless you have a pretty profound understanding of guitar wiring (why certain switches are in certain places to activate certain things) you will have a very hard time installing this because parts of the diagram are published upside down and backwards.You will get zero instructions which was not a problem for me but surprising.The caps and resistors are VERY modern and cheap, d recommend gathering up some higher quality caps and resistors.The other thing to be prepared for is the diagram refers to all colored wires, orange, yellow, green, blue, white and black. However, all the wire supplied is either black or white so it could get very confusing very quick if you don't color code as you start.
