Hello Orlando. We can help you with that. It is tolerable to attach cables, adapters or active equipment that have the same core, Example 50/125 (OM2) active equipment / 50/125 (OM3) patch cables. Products with different core should not be connected together (They won't work, or have bad performance). You should also remember that, in the same way as with ethernet cabling, when connecting two products with different bandwidth levels the performance that can be expected will be one of the worst performing components. So, if an OM2 patch cord is connected to OM3 equipment, the best performance that can be expected is the one from the OM2. Equally, if an OM3 patch cable is connected to an OM2 component then the performance will still only be that of OM2.
