Great pot for casseroles. Light weight, high quality, non-stick and easy to clean.

Promises so much- lighter design, no spill lid. I bought this because my partner complains about the weight of more traditional cast iron pots. Unfortunately, loss of mass means poor heat retention and poor results. Their marketing about ‘german iron’ is all hot air in practice.A even bigger design flaw is the lid. As another reviewer has mentioned, the no spill design of the lid sitting inside the rim leads to trapped moisture and constant splattering at anything more than a low simmer. The lid is too light and therefore can also rattle. Extremely irritating and makes it unusable for me. I bought it heavily discounted but still no worth it. A cheaper non-premium brand cast iron pot just works and trying to get around the weight problem has turned out to be an utter fail. 1 star for looks.
