A good range of colours to produce various skin tones from fair skin to darker European, with some helpful instructionsBut if you want other skin tones you ou will need to research elsewhere.To get the full effects described you will need to be working on 54 mm or larger figurines, in 28mm or smaller it is difficult but with practice sometimes hong acceptable can be produced.The paint adheres well to a primed surface - plastic resin or metal - use good quslity fine brushes wash out in clean water.Use matte varnish to seal when done to avoid degradation through handling.

The colours are perfect. The face paint guide is not great. My first attempt using the guide my SS panzer grenadier looked like something out of a zombie apocalypse rather than the Eastern Front.If you go to the website of a model manufacturer that contains the words life and miniatures in the title, you can download 4 painting tutorials from there.If you use these tutorials with the paints from this set you should get great results though.

Every modeller has his own personal opinion on the ‘best’ paint for model figure painting. Currently Vallejo are my choice. This is a good, basic range of colours for the flesh tones of model figures. The enclosed guide on how to paint faces is a useful starting point for novices.

Great paints, nice and thin, easy to mix and store. The instructions that came with the paints assume a decent level of skill already for painting faces. Great set for building skin tones and faces

Apart from getting two of one colour,and therefore one being missing, these are superb paints.Even just the sand-colour is more realistic than your usual flesh-coloured offerings.Just keep mixing and testing, as other reviewers have said, as the wet colour is quite different to the dry.But, all in all, a very satisfactory purchase.Oh, they do seem to need thinning if you're airbrushing, by the way.
