Massive storage, small and handy
I bought this gizmo when we discovered that because of its newness my wife's car has no CD player making her collection of CDs from her old car including kids' stuff for the grandkids useless. This tiny gadget has allowed me to rip all her CDs via my laptop (USB 'A') and with a quick twiddle she can play them through her car 'Infotainment'(ugh!) system (USB C) without the need for tiny fiddly adaptors, and still massive space for future CDs. Grandkids happy again, problem solved ; V Happy - highly recommended

Decent USB-C thumb drive, but get hot in use..
The drive is more compact with the USB-C connector and provides average speeds in use.I initially bought this to tranfer files between my PC and Steam Deck and for that, it has been great. The one criticism I can level at the drive is that with prolonged used, mostly when writing files, it gets hot. I'd imagine this is partly because the metal part of the casing is acting as a heatsink.

Excellent Drive
I originally purchased the Kingston DataTraveler 16 GB Micro Duo Type C USB 3.1 Gen 1/USB 3.0 Flash Drive thinking that it would be beneficial to have a flash drive that also worked with legacy USB ports. However, it was actually too small, though the little key chain helped. That probably seems a little silly, but a lot of modern flash drives are so small that they're easy to misplace. This device isn't much larger, but the small difference does help. I've included some pictures showing the packaging, size and size difference, versus the aforementioned flash drive. My ultrabook and phone both utilise USB Type-C, so I saw no real reason to bother with the older port.I mostly rely on Google Drive and only have a flash drive for reinstalling Ubuntu and a virtual machine image in the event of wiping my laptop. The only thing I'd really fault about this flash drive is the protective plastic casing,as it feels a little flimsy. Aside from that, pricing is reasonable, it's not *too* small and performs well. Definitely recommended.

All in all its an inexpensive USB C flash drive with a 3.1 write and read speed.
Purchased product to use as a backup OS for my MacBook. It’s arrived quickly and comes in standard flash drive packaging, the product is smaller and more compact than I first thought which was nice. The problems start when trying to plug it in, I’m not sure why but it’s incredible difficult to mount and unmount the USB into a slot, just really stiff. This wouldn’t be an issue but the way the sliding case is designed if you push at all hard on the case instead of the unit then it simply retracts back into its sliding case instead of into the slot. The only way to mount the drive is to perform a weird inverted finger push type manoeuvre on the back of the drive. At least it wont come out accidentally...When I tried to mount an img on the drive this also failed, probably due to some propriety Sandisk software. Even after I formatted the drive clean I still had to use the mac terminal to manually unmount and then write the image to the drive.I cant comment on the issues of write speed as I only really used it for this purpose but I can say that it did get quite hot to the touch even with minimal use, something other people have commented on.
