Pricey for what it is, but an amazing product nonetheless. Don't buy cheaper alternatives!
First of all, I have to be very honest - this was quite expensive imo for what the kind of thing this is. I didn't wanna spend this much for a USB to HDMI solution, but I can't really blame the manufacturer for that! It's just that anything cheap is genuinely horrible and a waste. So you may be paying more than you're willing to for this but it's defo worth it.Next, I have to say this is my second purchase of a 'Plugable' product. The other one was a USB to LAN adaptor that I used for my Nintendo Switch and it was truly excellent. It was my experience with that which made me interested in this HDMI adaptor.I haven't had a single issue with this! It'd just plug and play. Not really much else I can say other than to buy this as it will most definitely provide the solution you want!

Affordable solution, does exactly what I needed.
Bought as I have a shared monitor, between a desktop and a work laptop - both of which use DisplayPort. the monitor only has one DisplayPort connector and this is permanently wired to the desktop, besides the DP connector on the laptop is in a really awkward position right where my mouse hand would be! With this I can switch the display easily between HDMI and DP, laptop and desktop. I had a DP to HDMI adaptor for the laptop but it only supported 1080p so was not getting the most from the 1440p monitor. This just worked right out of the box (well, once I installed the drivers which was very simple), and I now have full 1440p with a simple USB connection. Only downside is I am not using my discrete GPU for the external monitor but for what I am using it for this doesn't matter.

Superb product and customer service
As I have a Mac Mini M1 with triple monitor I needed an adapter to get the 3rd monitor to work. I sent an email to the Plugable support, where Omar D. got back to me within a day with a recommendation for my needs. Quick delivery, great product. As I have 2 vertically rotated monitor on the side I needed to use the adapter on the centre monitor, but it is working with no issue. Omar even sent me a link for a driver which compatible with my Mac so it made it even easier to set it up. 5 star product, price and customer service!

I am very disappointed that my device is not working as claimed and ...
While Plugable devices normally get a high rating, I am very disappointed that my device is not working as claimed and that support is less than responsive with only 2 suggestions to resolve the issue over the past 5 days. The device does work on another old system but not on a brand new HP system so clearly it is not faulty. However, Plugable's support needs more focus to ensure customer satisfactionUPDATE:After a week it became clear that there was something wrong with my Windows 10 installation which was preventing this device from working properly.A complete re-installation of Windows 10 was performed and the device is working properly. A second one has now been purchased for my second PC.YES I would recommend this device but wish Plugable had either UK support or had staff available during UK daytime.

Excellent compatibility
I use an old model of Dell laptop which has only vga cable port. I bought a cheap 1080p samsung screen as a second display but the display was horrible. Fortunately, I have a usb 3.0 port on the laptop and bought this pluggable device to connect to the display using a hdmi cable. Wonderful invention. The scrolling and on screen text display is crisp. I still need to check with mac.

Three extra monitors added to my Mac laptop.
After reviewing (not physically) the alternatives (some cheap?, another expensive) and finally speaking to Tech Support I bought two of these units so as to add two additional 21.5 inch monitors to my 11 inch Mid 2013 MacBook Air, which already had a 27.5 inch main monitor attached via the Mac thunderbolt connector and a HDMI adapter. From my searching on line, having three external monitors from such a laptop had never been done before until now. So as to not overload the laptop power drawn by these units I also bought the powered Plugable 3.0 10-port USB hub, so my laptop still has 1x free USB connector. All three screens work independently of each other and of the laptop and, as the 10-port hub has so many USB ports I could in-fact add more monitors. I'm not sure if any more monitors could be attached from a technical, quality or performance perspective. Also I chose the 21.5 inch monitors because of my intended use of them, they were not chosen because the Plugable USB to HDMI Video graphics adapter could only be used with this size.I only needed these additional monitors for office use and not for gaming so, as for use of the Plugable USB to HDMI video graphics adapters for gaming I would suggest contacting Plugable Tech Support. Now there is a slight downside, the two 21.5 inch additional monitors do have some tech issues but, having tried swapping cables and adapters around I'm sure it is with the monitors not the adapters.Overall I'm very impressed with the Plugable USB 3.0 to HDMI video Graphics adapter and believe I made the right informed choice.

seeing my photos in full HD for the first time on my 4k TV.
My cheap little laptop has average graphics; however it does have USB3, and now it can display my camera photos on my 4k TV (using the hdmi input). WOW! Seeing things I had never seen before. Much more is visible than on my PC monitor. Yes this could be a life-changing viewing experience! Much cheaper than buying a new laptop or a better monitor.
