Birkenstock Milano Smooth Leather, Unisex Adults' Sandals

Hubby is very pleased with his first pair of Birkenstocks. Comfortable and good to size. He suffers with his arches so they are great. Good value for money

Bought these in the Dark Brown Smooth Leather which I like a lot - classic and classy looking and attractive coppery coloured buckles. As I already have Arizonas in size 40 Narrow (I wear U.K. 7-7.5 AA or U.S.A. 9-9.5 AA) I expected that these would be fine in the same size - which they are! I am very keen on the comfort of the Arizonas and find the footbed in the Milano to be just the same - so a little breaking in time will be needed. The main appeal was the heel strap which makes the sandal feel more secure when walking about outside, whilst I like to simply be able to slide in and out of the Arizona when I am indoors. Had spotted some Soft Footbed Milanos on the Amazon U.S.A. site and toyed with sending for those but with the full price plus Import taxes, financially they were not good value. My new Milanos were great value, real leather and I am very pleased with them. (Maybe Soft Footbeds will be available in the U.K. next year!)

A generous fitting and I have the Arizona mules already but they slop about. These sandals are good though being pedantic I have given deep thought to the best practise methods. Do I unbuckle each time? Which buckle should I unbuckle? Do I need to unbuckle?..Currently I am unbuckling in thin socks. Gosh...should the socks be thicker? Whatever...I find them comfortable and the good platform support has been helpful for my plantar heel pain in the morning.

I love them to bits, but would not pay silly money (upwards of £35) for them and thought wow when I picked these up for under £24 so was very pleased with myself. Yes they were black smooth leather and can only assume the other reviewers prior to me had their orders mixed up so I was doubly glad when my order went smoothly.They fit great and the look great (not girly flip floppy that just don't look right on a male foot) and allow my feet to breath during the summer, and due to the back strap stay firmly on my feet even when running around after my children.

My headline says it all. I could not bear to be without my Birkenstock sandals. Their regular/normal width is very wide and they are the only sandals that fit me because I also have a very short foot, size 35 or 2 1/2 ! I have not found any other makes that.nake z wide fit for a short foot!

Too big - which is strange as all my other shoes are size 36. But I need size 35. So, have sent them back for exchange. I hope that happens!You need to have a printable shoe size to somehow return, to save this exchanging thing

Great fit - never realised there was a narrow fit - better than my old ones which are very loose! And I have wide feet....

Comfortable
