Decent post base but incorrect directions and anchors
We used this product to put a post on our cement patio for a sun shade. The post base itself was exactly what we wanted. However, the directions told us to use a drill bit that made the hole way to big for the anchors provided. We had to go to our local home improvement store twice to find a new drill bit and new anchors. The ones provided were totally unusable. While we are very happy with the post base itself we are not happy that we had to buy our own anchors which added to the cost of our project. This is the reason we gave a 3 star for the value for money. The company should have provided anchors that would actually work as well as correct directions about what size drill bit would be needed.

worst product directions ever
The post base overall was an OK choice, sturdy and reasonably priced, the one star rating comes from the supplied directions. The directions instruct to drill a 5/8" hole (directions photo attached) for the supplied concrete anchors. Not sure how the 5/16" supplied anchors (photo attached) are supposed to work in a 5/8" hole. Instructions should have said 5/16" or 3/8 inch hole. 5/8" is a pretty big miss.I have adjusted my rating based on input from the company. They contacted me, apologized for the incorrect instructions and offered me a refund. Bad things happen with instructions particularly when they are translated from another language. That the company responded and made it right changes everything.

Works for most applications
The holder worked as needed but the mounting bolt holes were to small and I needed to drill them larger, but overall it worked.
