We needed a light to see by but not overly bright. These are perfect, easy to mount and motion detectors are good

I got these for bathroom use at night. Nobody likes needing to pee in the middle of the night and being awakened by a blinding light when you turn on all your bathroom lights. In my bathroom, I have a regular bathroom area (which has plugs, where I have a plugin night light with sensor), but the small toilet room doesn't have any plugs. That's where this came into play. I stuck it on my wall about chest level for an adult, and it provides a small amount of light when it senses that someone has come into the room (if the light is off). It's really not very bright, but it's enough to allow me to accomplish what I set out to. For me, that's a plus, since I don't want a bright light to wake me up if I'm going to go back to bed and go back to sleep. I can't speak to how long it will last since I've only had it about a month, but so far it's going strong. I'm not totally sure about the build quality for the price, because I've seen plugin nightlights with sensors go for 5 to 8 dollars less for a two-pack. Still, this works if you need a dim light in a dark space.

I got these lights to put near my cat’s litter box at night. I have her box inside my extra bathroom’s bathtub, and I didn’t want to keep the bathroom light on all day and night. I stuck one on the side of the tub wall, and it is very sturdy and hasn’t fallen off. We tested it out and the motion sensor definitely works well. When she jumps in, it turns on right away. But the light is EXTREMELY dim. I am in my early-30’s with decent night vision and I still could barely see. So I stuck another one next to the 1st one but it is still pretty dim. Thankfully, cats have good night vision so it is enough for her and she has no problem using the litter box with the bathroom light off. These don’t come with any batteries, but I put in 3 of the AAA size Duracell Optimum batteries in each. So you will need 6 AAA batteries total for both lights. The lights have been in use for almost 2 months now, with my cat going to her box between 4-8 times a day and the batteries are still going strong. This light would only work well in VERY small spaces and definitely not for human use. But for lighting up a bathtub for a cat, it works just fine.

We recently moved into a temporary house, but the hall does not have any outlets in it. Beyond being baffling, when my niece and nephew come to visit, they aren't used to the house and I need to be sure they can find their way to the bathroom at night. These work perfect for that, and we discovered for travel as well. We recently stayed in a hotel and my nephew had requested to bring one of these to keep near the bed. Turns out it was lucky we brought it, there was no lights anywhere at night, except the one in the bathroom attached to a really loud fan, or the one over the sink with the really bright light that would have kept us all up. We were able to just set this on the counter so we could find our way to the bathroom, though my nephew said next time we'll need to bring both lights. The batteries last about five or six months, which I think is a pretty long time for this sort of thing.

I have a dark staircase from my basement to garage that needed some illumination for safety so I thought I'd give these a try. They need 3 AAA batteries per device, and there are 2 devices per pack, so make sure you have enough batteries on hand. There is a sticky pad on the back of the device where you can remove the paper and stick to a wall or other surface. I simply set the devices on the stair against the wall. The eye works very well. The light turns on when I am still about 3 stairs away, so it can definitely sense me coming before I get there. The light then stays on for oh, I dont know, maybe 15 seconds after I pass by. My only complaint is that the light is not bright. It basically illuminates just a few inches around the light. I think that to actually be effective in my staircase, I would need to have a light at each and every stair/step. I Would not be opposed to that - it would actually probably look quite nice, especially if there was a light on both sides of the staircase going up and down - like movie theater style! But, at the list price, that would cost about twenty per step when you consider having to buy all the batteries separately. That is quite expensive, when just one or two brighter lights would do the trick. Maybe if you are just trying to provide a soft glow in a dark cabinet (and fairly empty cabinet so the eye can see motion to know when to turn on) it would work. But don't expect any kind of significant brightness from these for an area like stairs or bathrooms, unless you use many, many devices. See pics. This lamp is super cool. It is very bright and luminous. The only thing I noticed that wasn't the best is the magnets. It feels like they aren't strong enough and the light is heavy. But I like the fact that it is very bright. For emergencies, this light is amazing. Keep it charged and you should be good for a few hours. I haven't used it continuously so I can't say how long it will last before it starts fading or flickering.UPDATE: It stopped working. I charged it once and now it doesn't work anymore. It stays on for a few seconds then flickers and dies. I only turned it one once to try it and I loved the brightness but now it dies almost instantly. Its useless.

Good quality, easy to use, bright and durable. I use these lights as task lighting for my garage cabinets. At max brightness this light illuminates my work area well. I like that the kit included self adhesive metal backing plates so I can mount the light to almost any surface. The magnets are strong and keep the light in place. I also appreciate that the battery charger is a usb rather than a proprietary type charger.
