This book was recommended to me as an excellent introduction to some of the equipment and methods that clock and watch makers use. In fact it goes into far greater depth and is a fascinating book, beautifully illustrated and extremely well written - a real find.If you have an interest in watch or clock making, I would most highly recommend this excellent book

This book is not what I really expected. The majorty of the book is taken up with the history of lathes and a catalogue of lathes.Very little of the book is taken up with what I would call a 'User Guide'.I think the title of the book is mis-leading, it is not a 'User Guide'
